You know, I make similar bags at home… they’re honestly not hard to make! Why would they be so expensive that only people shop in the boutiques would want them? I sold mine in high school. Does the bag pack itself or something?

I just wanted to say that I bought a couple of bags from Wylee Bags (a “Handi Sak” and a makeup bag) and they ARE a lot bigger than they look (I imagine how big the diaper bags and back packs must be!). They’re pretty too. They come each in a matching organza bag and includes a thank you card from the Littrell family and a small booklet with pictures of all the Wylee bags and jewelry, including an adorable picture of Baylee wearing one of the Mini Bags (you can tell he loves the camera! )

Baylee actually comes from George Bailey from the movie ‘It’s A Wonderful Life”, which both Brian and Leighanne love. They just changed the spelling. Leighanne said this herself.

But yes Thomas is Brian’s middle name to.

I can’t remeber why he got Wylee, but I think it was a family member(Leighanne)’s name…

I agree with Tanya. It sounds like Baylee’s very different from other 5-year olds and he would benefit so much from a sibling. Not only would he always have someone to play with but he would have someone to teach and learn from. Siblings are such a great experience for children. I also feel he is missing out not being able to be with other children his age by being homeschooled. My 3-year old is in daycare and has made several friendships already that he truly enjoys and it’s the cutest thing to see your child make friends. Being with cousins is not the same. I wonder if the Littrells don’t trust other people to let their children play with their little boy?

I think it all depends on how the child is taught and how much the child is exposed to other kids. I thought growing up as homeschooling was becoming more popular that I wouldn’t do it because some of the kids around me were a little on the strange side. However it was because the mom sheltered them not because they were homeschooled. In high school I was homeschooled because I traveled alot. It was awesome. I was able to graduated 2 years ahead of schedule and I got to go to college. Some schools just aren’t up to par especially where I live the public and private schools aren’t that awesome. I was able to socialize and homeschooling didn’t keep me from socializing. Some parents do it right some do it wrong, you can’t put homeschooling all in one or judge someone just because they choose that Homeschooling is best for their family not all families are like what you’ve experienced. Some kids “don’t get” kids even if they’re in a public/private school. My children will either be homeschooled or attend a private school. My husband are involved with youth in our church and we teach a class each Wed., some of the kids are homeschooled in our class and are among the smartest in the class. In class we teach a wide range of subjects (its like boy scouts) and the ones that are homeschooled are no different socially than the ones that attend public schools. Some parents do great at homeschooling some don’t, but really you can’t group them all in the same basket. Leighanne and Brian are doing a great job and know what’s best for Baylee. I think they are doing whats best for him and at the end of the day thats whats most important. He’s happy and he seems so smart! I can’t wait to buy some of her diaper bags they are so nice!

I agree about home schooling it seems wrong to do it when baylee is an onlychild and therefor needs going to school to make friends with other kids his age. He already seem to be a bit different when she talks about how other little kids don`t get him. And why would he get so mad when his mom calls him by his name?
I`ve been a backstreet and Brian fan for years and I`ve always thought the Littrells would have two kids, I would love to see Baylee as a big brother. So to me its a bit sad that he`ll stay an only child, especially when they travell so much it must be sad not to have another child to play with, and only be surrounded by grown ups all the time. I work in daycare and knows that even 3 year olds needs a constant group of little friends their age around them, not just playdates with another child here and there. Every child needs a best friend or two also. Maybe baylees cousins are his best friends?

I enjoyed her interview, although the home schooling bit bothered me. I don’t know. Maybe it worked for her but what about what Baylee wants? I volunteer at a YMCA a few times a week and the children that are home schooled have such a difficult time adjusting socially to the other kids and are usually the odd man out when it comes to games and teams. I would never think to home school my children.

LOVED the interview… and feel exactly the same way about having just one kid. I had a rough time figuring out how to get “myself” back, how to be a great mom without being only a mom… it’s hard, and I admire her for being honest and knowing what she wants and what is good for her family. And the bags are amazing!! If only I had found something like that in my 14 months breastfeeding…

It saddens me that Baylee will stay an only child, especially since he is a perfectly healthy child with happily married parents. And Brian obviously wants at least one more, so why can`t she have another one for him? And its sad to hear that Baylee was an accident, not a planned baby. Being so strikt about only wanting this one child it makes me wonder what she will do if another accidental pregnancy ever happens? And why homeschool Baylee when he, especially since being an only child, needs other kids his age to play with and become friends with?

more time it happens more I love this woman, not only for his sincerity but also for the life that it has infested of simplicity. Brian and Leighanne take together from July, 1997 that is to say 3 of fiancés and 8 as marriage resting mutually, because before Baylee was born she was already travelling with him, are not great the partners in this profession that last without separating, this is a very clear example of real love. And very sensible the decision of Leighanne not to have any more children, even if it had decided not to have any also would have supported her! This is a good sense
