Daisuke ‘Dice-K’ Matsuzaka welcomes second child
Red Sox star pitcher Daisuke ‘Dice-K’ Matsuzaka, 27, and his journalist wife Tomoyo Shibata Matsuzaka have welcomed their second child, a son. The baby, whose name has not been released, was born at 7:30 am this morning, Saturday March 15th, weighing in at 6 lbs, 10 oz. He joins the couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Niko.
The pregnancy was announced in December. Tomoyo’s due date had been March 25th.

Congrats to them!! GO SOX! I wonder if he’ll go to Japan for the exhibition games?

That’s great news. I bet he will be in Japan for the exhibition games. I think I read somewhere Terry Francona talking about “Plan B” for Japan. Plan B was if he couldn’t attend b/c she hadn’t yet had the baby. I bet since she’s delivered now he’ll make the quick trip. Who knows though – we’ll find out soon enough!
