How is he driving?? He got arrested 2 days ago!!
Sarah’s note: He was released on his own recognizance and has yet to be charged. So until they get that together and he’s found/pleads guilty (if that’s the case), he’s fine to drive if they didn’t confiscate his license at the scene (which it seems they didn’t). His court date is May 7th.

I know everyone’s already said it, but when I saw the picture my first thought was “Holy cow! She looks like a mini-Heather”.
And my second thought was why on earth is she driving anywhere with her dad? I know legally nothing’s happened to him yet, but I’m surprised Heather is still letting him drive Ava around.

He hasn’t been charged with anything. He opted to take a blood test, which gives the most accurate results. With the blood test, you have to wait a few days for the results from the lab to come in. So, as of yet, he has not been charged with anything. Innocent until proven guilty, right?
That being said, anything could have happened in that car. Maybe his phone rang and he swerved as he answered the phone, so the cops pulled him over and smelled liquor on his breath. It’s possible he had only one drink and just smelled of liquor- we have no idea.
Also, it was reported that a few weeks ago Heather was having some issues with mental illness and was taken to the hospital. Maybe Richie has custody while Heather sorts out her issues?

Ava is certainly blossoming into a beautiful young lady. Also bear in mind, Heather would not place Ava in danger. She must have a very good reason to trust Richie with their daughter. Let’s wait until all the facts come to light before we form our opinions on the matter.

I only ever see her smile like that when she’s with her father. This child worships him so much
the whole DUI thing is just a big mistake and will be rectified as soon as the blood tests are returned. Given Ava was with him, and there was no nanny present, Ava herself would have known whether her father had been drinking.
I hope Richie gets the apology he deserves from the public when that happens because it certainly isn’t fair.

Ericka, until the blood test results are returned how could you possibly know that? He hasn’t even been charged with anything yet! Plus he was let go on his own recognizance he didn’t have to post bail or anything
I love how people have made their minds up already, truly. The police haven’t but the public have. Isn’t that justice right there? Especially since we don’t even have all the facts.
Ava looks beautiful, happy and well cared for by her father. That is the bottom line and the rest will all come clear when the facts are disclosed via the blood test.

And it’s true that we only see her smile like this on pictures when she spends time with her adoring dad.

If he had not been drinking why didn’t he just do the blow test and get it over with? I’m sorry but if you have not had anything to drink you will take the fastest route to being cleared.

Maybe the hat is what makes people think Ava looks older? I think she looks cute. I have seen ten year olds with tons of makeup and crop tops. She is not wearing any makeup and she is dressed appropriately for a preteen. She appears to be tall (long legged) but we can’t really tell how tall she is because she is by herself. She is a beautiful.

I love Heather’s work and I think she is a timeless beauty. That being said I have to say her daughter is the most beautiful young girl I have seen in forever. She looks just like her mom and at the same time she looks her age, not like other young children in Hollywood, whose parents forget they are children. Heather really seems to be a great mother.

What exactly is Heather doing these days anyway? I agree Ava is the most beautiful child but her father is a big big part in keeping her a little girl. She never has a smile like that with her mother, and Heather certainly does have a knack for smothering this little girl in make up. I can’t believe that Heather has not gone to court to keep Richie from driving with her daughter. Here is what we know: We know Richie has some kind of a substance abuse problem and we know that his driving recently aroused the suspicion of the police which is why he was pulled over and arrested. Just because charges have not been filed does not mean Richie did not do anything or at least the very least exercised poor judgment. I would not feel safe leaving my child with Richie.

HMM!!! It seems like celebrities get special treatment. I CANNOT believe he did not automatically,like everyone else,loose his liscense!!! HE was arrested for dui and had his child in the car!!! Can you imagine how many times he was drinking and driving with his kid in the car? He could of killed his child! There is no excuse for drinking and driving. You can take a cab or get a designated driver! MY NEICE WAS NOT AS LUCKY. MY SISTER got hit by a drunk driver.Her 5 yr.old daughter was in the back seat in a seatbelt and was hit from behind. The impact killed her. My sister survived the crash and ha not been the same.AND GUESS WHO ALSO SURVIVED THE CRASH? THE DRUNK DRIVER WHO GOT 15 years but that person still has his life. My innocent neice died in the hands of someone being drunk. I hope Sambora gets help because if he continues to drink and drive someone may loose their life.And most likely it the innocent ones.

Di, don’t you think you’re being a tad overdramatic. We don’t know all the facts and again I say it’s none of our business. If Heather didn’t feel her daughter was safe, she would have gone to court but she didn’t and gave him permission to spend time with their daughter. Some of you act like he doesn’t deserve to see his daughter. Even people in prison get the chance to see their kids.

Oh come on you guys! Dont give me the “oh nothing is proven yet” argument. Yes that is correct that it may be false, however having read these boards for a while, had it been someone like Britney Spears who had only been SUSPECTED of drunk driving NO ONE would WAIT until it was proven or disproven. There would be over 100 messgaes here saying what a terrible parent she was and much more…Its a shame that some celebs are forgiven and others never are.

I think that Richie was just a little under and felt bad that his dad died, and he just went through a divorce. I feel bad for him and Ava. I couldn’t imagine people saying to me, Oh look at you dad… what a bad guy, cause he is NOT!!
She is very beutiful though. I think she has nice hair too.
