"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Jennifer Garner and Matthew McConaughey talk parenting

Tags: Dads, Ha ha, News, Quotes

Jennifer Garner, 35, and daddy-to-be Matthew McConaughey, 38, are busy filming their upcoming movie Ghosts of Girlfriends Past in Boston right now, but they are spending some of their free time talking about ‘parenting.’

Matthew is quizzing Jennifer on all topics ranging from changing diapers to getting sleep. A source says:

He just wants to be prepared and is excited about being a dad for the first time.

Another witness on the film set revealed:

Matt calls her [Jennifer] ‘Supermom’ and ‘Mary Poppins.’ He’ll ask for something and she’ll look in her bag and magically have it. One day he asked for duct tape! She said she didn’t have it, but does like to be prepared for anything.

Matthew is expecting his first child with model Camila Alves, 26, in late June. Jennifer and actor/director Ben Affleck, 35, are parents to Violet Anne, 2.

I haven’t seen Violet for a long time!I really want to see her!

  2. love Says:

    I miss seeing J&V together it’s been a long time…

  3. Becky's Daughter Says:

Before becoming a parent, I never needed to carry around band aids. But now, I always have at least one in my purse.

  4. mbev1234 Says:

I carry around those mini first-aid kits which people always seem surprised with. However, I think that most moms have tons of stuff in their diaper bag! I miss seeing Jen and Violet too. Surprised that we haven’t seen any pictures at all in a few weeks.

  5. Rosy J Says:

When are we going to see Violet again? I miss her so much.

Sarah’s note: They’ve been living in Boston and DC so not too much pap presence there. Probably a nice break for them!

  6. Dana Says:

Oh, that is so cute! I love being around first-time expectant parents. They are so giddy that they only want to talk about the upcoming event, including all their fears. And I love being a mom, so sharing my tips and experiences makes me happy, too.

Oh, what don’t I have in my bag? First aid kit, crayons (for those lovely restaurants that don’t have them), paper, hair clips, snacks, pens, pencils, paper clips, stapler, tissues, chapstick, lipstick, mirror, flashlight (for when you drop something under the table at a restaurant), pocket knife, scissors…any much, much more. And, no, I don’t carry a gigantor bag…I just know how to economize.

  7. Holly Says:

I don’t carry a bag when I go out. I keep a few things in the car but if I go in a restaurant or store I carry my keys and a credit card. Nothing else. Not even a diaper.

  8. COurtney Says:

Now with kid #4 all I take with me is a full bottle and a travel pack of formula, 2 diapers and a travel thing of wipes…all in my purse. I’m over the whole “taking the whole house with you” thing.
