Hea- I see your point, but as another commentor pointed out, Nicole seems to be much more private than Tom and Katie are. In fact, BOTH Keith and Nicole seem to be very private people. Obviously they cannot always avoid the paparazzi, but it seems that, when Nicole has the kids, she tries to be as private as she possibly can. When she is not with them, she probably feels like she doesn’t need to be as private.

She may very well feel the way Johnny Depp does, that she signed up for the “celebrity lifestyle”, but her kids didn’t. Basically, I think Nicole is someone who is seen when she wants to (or at least is reasonable comfortable with) be seen.

Oh, and I want to point out that I’m pretty sure I read that Connor and Bella spent Christmas with Nicole. It could be that Tom and Nicole alternate Holidays with the kids. Also, I think what the posters who said that Scientologists do celebrate Christmas were trying to say is that they do indeed celebrate it…In their own way (and BTW, “Christmas Story” is just the name of the Christmas event that many of them are seen attending).

I also must ask, why is Tom always blamed for everything (e.g. “He probably told Nicole ‘forget it’ with the kids”)? Yes, the guy has done some pretty crazy stuff, but that doesn’t mean that he’s heartless or a bad person! In fact, I have read (and I’m pretty sure this was in People magazine, which is usually very accuarte) that Tom and Nicole are actually on fairly friendly terms. Obviously not the friendly terms that, say, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore are on, but still friendly terms.

I also want to point out that if Tom really DID want to bar Nicole from seeing the kids, he would have to go to court in order to be allowed to do so (and, to my knowledge, a court is not going to deny a mother access to her children unless it is not safe for the children to be with their mother). If he barred her from seeing the children without going to court first, he’d be breaking the law.

CelebBabyLover – You are absolutely right, I do not know her kids. Neither do you, I presume? What I do know is the general part of psychology and how kids generally react when, in lack of a better word, are abandoned by a parent. No, wait, wrong choice of words… when they have a not present parent.

The difference between Teri’s daughter and Nicoles kids is that Teris daughter does not have a very known father, as you say. Nicole’s kids have two of the worlds most targeted celebrities for parents. They are always in the gossip papers and on these sites. It would not be surprising if their kids were snapped out and about with either of their parents. I have seen them with Tom and Katie but it’s been ages since I saw them with Nicole, hence my question why she’s rarely seen with them.

I am not judging anybody. I am not calling anybody an unfit parent. I was merely asking out loud.

Judyb – I guess I am not as sensitive as you seem to be. I was not trying to be mean. Like I said, *I* was merely asking a couple of questions. Like all things in life, it cannot always be positive.

Nicole has always said has she desperately wanted children. She pledged to Tom that they would be raised Scientologists. I’m sure that she would want them to live with her, what mother wouldn’t want that? As far as Scientologists celebrating Christmas, No way! they call it a Christmas STORY… Nicoles new baby will be raised in the church.

Hea, I don’t think insinuations of ignoring her children are simple comments. People are attacking her ability to be a good mother. IMO,it must be extremely difficult to work out a custody arrangement where the parents live a great distance from each other. I think it is extremely unfair to judge Nicole.

I wonder why some people think that there has to be controversy on every thread.

I actually remember seeing pictures of Nicole taking the kids to church for mass after the divorce. Scientologists celebrities have a Christmas benefit every year, why does everything has to be blamed on it when someone thinks something’s off? The kids live in LA, after all.

Nicole doesn’t have her kids because she promised that they would be raised Scientologists. The last place a Scientologist would be is in a church for Easter Mass. When she went back to the Catholic religion I’m sure Tom kicked her out and said “forget it ” with the kids.

It’s nice to see her tummy finally beginning to pop But I agree with some of the other gals here that she is looking more and more “severe” as she ages. She had much softer features 10-15 years back. I don’t mean this in a bad way, but I wonder if all the Botox is catching up with her. And little Lucia looks just like her mother – Antonia. I’ve seen Nicole and Antonia together and Nicole looks exactly like her mom and Antonia looks like their dad. Anyway, glad to see her at church on Easter Sunday.

Nicole’s kids HAVE been in Australia over the past year, but they’re rarely photographed here. I remember seeing pictures in the papers last year when she was filming Australia.

I think Nicole is much more private that Tom and trys to not be in the spot light, and as such isn’t seen with her children as much.
