Cute baby. But why does one baby need both parents AND a nanny?
Sarah’s note: Carmen has become a close friend and they include her on things like going to breakfast.

Do you know where Naomi got her pants? I love them!!!!

If I had the money I would have a nanny too!!!
You can tell they are “still” wonderful parents; when Sasha is being held by Liev, there is someone to push the stroller, and when he is in the stroller, Naomi is pushing… Not to mention the bond you and your child would be able to form with the person that is watching your baby when you have to go to work, because unfortunately it can’t always be a family member.
Yeah, you may not need a nanny to go to breakfast, but if she is your friend and becomes part of your family, why not take her along. I love this family, they look so happy together!!!

They do look like they just woke up and off to get some breaky. And they still look great!

Very cute. To echo Jillian, I don’t think that it’s always that one NEEDS both parents and a nanny to go out. Some parents may well think that they do, but I would imagine that for the majority, it’s more the case that is the other carer of their child while they are working and why not include them as part of the family? I read a quote once from Jane Seymour who said she had learned that when her children were bonding with their nanny, to let them be or invite her along, because that relationship was important too, not to ever replace their parents, but to ensure their overall health, happiness and feelings of safety, and to know that it was okay to care and be cared for at times by someone else.

I agree Jillian, having a close, family like relationship with your nanny not only puts your mind at ease, but the baby’s as well. Sasha will be much more comfortable when his parents are away than if they just had an occasional babysitter.
I am a SAHM but my husband and I still need time to go out as a couple. Our backup babysitter is a teacher from when my kids were in daycare. We visit with her often to keep the relationship strong.

Another reason (besides friendship) that Carmen is along is that they aren’t in New York, but Australia on a vacation/work trip. So, flying her with them to Australia and then inviting her to breakfast seems like the right thing to do.

I’m a nanny, and the family I work for includes me in all kinds of things with their kids like winter programs and easter egg hunts. If you spend that much time caring for kids, they get attached. I’m glad to see Liev and Naomi are encouraging that because if everyone is happy with the situation its much easier on the kids.

um, if you click on the nanny-story, naomi says that her nanny ‘has no ass’; um, no offense, but lol…
They’re so cute, but liev, please, that outfit… you’re so hot!;)

Kerry, she got her pants from Lorna Jane. I have two pairs (navy and black) and they also come in grey. They’re $59 a pair.
I’m fairly sure that LJ is an Australian brand – you can get them from LJ stores or from sportswear stores.

PS it was freezing in Sydney yesterday morning, I can’t believe they’re not wearing socks and shoes!

The hat is from Oobi Baby in Australia which is also available in the USA. You can see the label quite clearly in the photo!

Aussiemum,
Thanks so much for the pant info.
Do you know the name of the pants??
When I looked online I wasn’t sure which pants they were??? None of them looked like the ones she is wearing????

I had a look at the website and I couldn’t see them either, Kerry. The flashdance pants and the sherri lifestyle pants are quite similar. Mine had ‘dance pants’ on the label. You could try ebay!
I got mine a while ago, so maybe they’re not available anymore. They definitely had them at the LJ store at Westfield in Eastgardens before Christmas though.
Good luck!

Naomi looks amazing and young…… like she is 20 years old! If the Sasha wasn’t her spitting image you might think Naomi was the nanny!
I am also guilty of wearing flip-flops in cold weather. They are so easy to put on!
