de Vere Drummond is an interesting middle name. Where did it come from?

I believe de Vere Drummond is the children’s surname. I remember it as Matthew Vaughn discovering his father wasn’t actually Robert Vaughn but George de Vere Drummond and he therefore reverted back to using this surname, de Vere Drummond, although he kept Vaughn professionally. I think… it must be complex I suppose not only having both parents with different surnames but the children as well!
