Finola Hughes welcomes third child, daughter Sadie Beatrice
General Hospital’s Finola Hughes, 47, has announced that she and husband Russell Young are parents for the third time. The couple recently adopted 4-month-old Sadie Beatrice Young, their first daughter.
We adopted a baby girl! It’s incredibly exciting. We have three now: Dylan Joseph, 7, Cash Justice, 3 ½, [who joined the family as an infant in 2004] and Sadie, who’s 4 months old. We’re done.
Although Finola, who previously appeared on Charmed, All My Children, and hosted How Do I Look?, did not provide an explanation for the choice of Sadie, the middle name is a nod to family history.
Beatrice is a family name on both sides of our family, and she’s very old-fashioned-looking. She needed a bit of an edge — a tough name, because she’s got two big brothers!

And to the poster above me — Finola was extremely popular back in the day when she was on GH. One of their biggest stars at the time. Not sure if you watch GH, but she’ll be popping back in again soon for a few episodes.

Finola was a HUGE part of GH for years! And part a A VERY popular couple in the 80s and early 90s.
Now she is back on GH but basically makes appareneces every couple of months as Robin’s butt kicking (and spy working) mom.
On the show, Finola’s character Anna, is getting ready to be a 1st time grandmother!

Finola was on GH for years and played a great character. I’m 35 and grew up watching her on the show. She now makes cameo’s from time-to-time. Anyway, congrats to her on her new addition. Adoption is a wonderful thing and a true blessing!! Have a great weekend everyone!

I know Finola from her character Anna Scorpio. She was one of two supercouples on General Hospital back in the 70’s. They were Luke and Laura Spencer and Anna and Robert Scorpio.
She now plays the mother of Robin Scorpio who is hiv positive, but in remission for years and who is now pregnant.
She was always a lovely and accessible star.
I am very happy for her good news. And……I just love the name Sadie!!

aww! congratulations to her!! i just love it when ppl adopt!! i think adopting is a great thing!.. i really wanna adopt when iam old enough but iam from the middle east.. and its kind of hard to adopt a child here and its very rare!:( but hopefully it will work out with me!

Congrats to her, she had a hard time getting pregnant with dylan and than after him she couldn’t get pregnant again I read. Nice now she has boys and a little girl.

& honestly, she is more known now for ‘how do i look’ not GH. She WAS big on GH but isnt now.
