CBB Exclusive: Kimya Dawson and Panda photoshoot
Washington-based singer-songwriter Kimya Dawson, 35, and her daughter Panda Delilah, 20 months, posed for a CBB photoshoot back in January. As a solo artist as well as a member of The Moldy Peaches and Antsy Pants, Kimya and her music make up the majority of the Juno soundtrack — she contributed eight out of 20 tracks featured on the album. Three additional songs by Kimya are featured on the Juno: B-sides album.

I think Kimya Dawson’s husband is Angelo Spencer. Angelo Pagan is Leah Remini’s husband.

After taking my 15 year old to see Juno We looked her web site up. She has video and photos of her family. (husband and Panda). We loved it. Her site is very enjoyable. check it out! And for those who are trying to go green or who are she has a little video and summary about that as well. I heard that on “LIVE” that she is working on a childrens album. Should be intresting!

You know, I’m not sure how I feel about Panda as a name, but for some reason it works with the middle name she chose and I’ve been following Kimya’s career ever since I saw her journal on my friend’s LJ friends page (so before Panda was even born) and I can’t think of a more perfect name for such a sweet little kid

I have to say, i am not a fan of “out there” names, but I really like the name Panda, it is really cute! And she matches that cute name! Adorable! I think they need to make those monster cranky pants in adult sizes — too cute!

My daughter has a “Monster Sue” shirt by NissaLissa and it is one of my all time favorite shirts…sadly she is too big for it now, but her sister should be able to wear it this Fall! Too cute!

My mother wanted to name me Panda Nicole… my family talked her out of it thankfully. I’ve never heard of a child being named Panda until now. It’s cute. Reminded me for a moment of my mother (she passed when I was a child). Just wanted to share that…

I’ll be honest here–I LOVED “Juno” EXCEPT for the soundtrack.
I think if someone were to figure out the knitting pattern for those cranky pants (which doesn’t look too difficult), they could make a killing.

I am a fan and friend of Kimya and her family, I grew up down the street from her and went through elementary, middle and high school with her brother Akida. It’s so wonderful to see all of the success that has come er way. Kimya has worked very hard over the years and it’s nice to see it finally pay off. Panda is a dream! Beautiful and joyus!

Cassie, thanks for sharing that and I hope that it gave you something to smile fondly about. My husbands Dad passed when he was a child too so I’ve witnessed how hard that is.
I have no clue who this woman is but I love these pics!! You can totally see the love in her eyes for her daughter. Looks like they enjoy each other’s company and boy do they both have beautiful eyes. I love how Panda’s hair has the bed head/messy look to it like her Mommy’s =) And how cool are those cranky pants, lol, I have my days where I could use a pair of those!!

I’m glad for this family to be highlighted. Washington State is a wonderful place to live and hopefully, we will learn more about the artists, designers, boutique owners, natural wildlife centers, that cater to children.
