"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Madonna’s daughter asks her to wear ‘normal clothes’

MadonnalourdesMadonna, 49, loves to take advantage of her downtime by dressing in comfortable clothes like trackpants and sweatshirts, but her daughter, Lourdes, 11, always reminds her that these clothes embarrass her.

Madonna has said that she knows she dresses in a way that makes Lourdes uncomfortable, saying that her daughter will ask if she could "use normal clothes", but Madonna insists that she won’t change her style to be more "traditional" per Lourdes’ request!

Lourdes’ father is Carlos Leon, 41.

Do you ever embarrass your children with the style of clothes you wear?

It’s amazing how Lourdes looks like both of her parents!! She has her father’s narrow jawline and her mother’s shaped eyes and eyebrows! What a beautiful girl she is–half Cuban, one-quarter French-Canadian and one-quarter Italian. You can see how close they really are too, it’s lovely to see Madonna so maternal.

LOURDES IS SO BEAUTIFUL – GOOD JOB MADONNA :)

Lourdes must have quite the life if she thinks Madonna’s designer sweats & athletic gear is “abnormal” for a mother to wear (although I guess most 11 or 12 yr olds are ‘embarassed’ about their parents for some reason or another), although I guess having a 50 yr old mother who’s that “buff” might be a bit unusual.

Anyway Lourdes should be glad that she wasn’t her 11 or 12 yr old daughter back in the early 1990s, when Madonna would parade around at parties, awards shows, and performances in that John Galliano cone-shaped bra she made so famous…among her other leather creations from that era. (Now THAT is embarassing, imho, more so than designer yoga pants & tees.)

  4. Elyse Says:

I remember when I was about Lourdes age I told my mom I would NEVER were clothes like she did. I was quite adamant about it. Well fast forward 8 or 9 years and I was borrowing stuff from her closet all the time! It is definitely a phase, and she will pass it. Personally I like Madonna’s style now! ;)
