I worked for an online shop that carried them and we ended up clearancing the line because so many people started complaining. Just because a toy is made from wood does not mean that they are of good quality or safe.</p> <p>One good toy company that you did not profile is Selecta, from Germany. They make beautiful toys that last forever. My now 3 and 6 year old boys still play with the "Carousel" that we got when the youngest just started walking.</p></div>

Melissa and Doug toys are now Made in China and have had a considerable drop in quality, in my opinion, over the last 5 years.
