Introducing Ignatius ‘Iggy’ Martin Upton
Arriving at the Australia 2020 summit on Saturday, April 19th, Cate Blanchett brought along an extra participant — her 6-day-old son, Ignatius ‘Iggy’ Martin. Having just given birth last Sunday, April 13th, the 38-year-old actress understandably kept her newborn with her while fulfilling her prior obligations at Parliament House. A side profile here.

She has THE most beautiful skin. 5 days after I gave birth, I still looked 6 months pregnant.

Cate looks wonderful 6 days postpartum! Wow. But little Iggy has a handsome side profile. Looking forward to seeing the rest of him, maybe even a full on shot of him sometime down the road.

She looks so happy and fantastic. Our Prime Minister actually went to see her in hospital this week to make sure she still wanted to participate in the 2020 summit. I can’t imagine being up for something like that less than a week after giving birth -I was still having trouble walking!

i adore cate blanchett. she seems to be so kind & down to earth. i really appreciate that she’s aware of her public’s curiosity about her new baby & not sequestering him away, demanding millions of dollars for a photo.

This woman is truly remarkable. She is definitely a woman of the modern world. She’s a wonderful mother to three children, an accomplished actress, a representative of her country and happily married to a husband she enjoys working with in an Australian theater company.
I think her oldest child looks like her and that the middle boy and this little guy look like their dad. She has a beautiful family and I always look forward to watching the films she makes. Bravo, Cate, for doing it all – and with aplomb!
