Anya Update: 2.5 years and Passover
Saturday, April 19th was a gorgeous day and the first time in my memory that we’ve been able to hang out outside while celebrating Passover. Anya had a great time with her cousins, especially her cousin Z. who is 6. She really seems to love older kids.

This is one sweet looking little girl. I’ve seen photos of her here before but never commented. These are just lovely and I especially like the one in black and white. Fast forward a few decades and I can imagine that expression in a wedding photo. Sorry to the Mom if that makes you sad!! I mean to think of her growing up. I have to tell you that it happens so fast….you blink your eyes and it is gone. So to everyone with young children…tickle them while you can. Delight in their dandelion bouquets and cherish their sticky-fingered hugs. Don’t bemoan the smears on your windows or the muddy footprints on your kitchen floor or the NOISE. Relish every moment. Ok..sorry to get mushy!!

Come on, you have to agree that she looks like an ape. An ape is an ape is an ape; even in a pretty dress. Look at her sunken eyes, her jaw sticking out, her forehead bulging over her eyes. She’s like those pitbulls that are dressed in miniature human clothes. The way you’re raising her, try to make her look like a human, she’s going to be like those woman who look like dogs, yet wear pretty clothes, blindly believing they’re pretty. You might censor me but watch out for those people laughing at your little Apeya aka Manya aka Anya.

Passover is when the last of the plagues was occuring in Egypt.
When all the firstborns died and the Hebrews protected themselves by putting lambs blood on their doors.
if you know the story of the Ten Commandments, the passover is basically the dinner and conversation had during that night.
Because of when Easter is, Christians either only celebrate Easter, or honor both (I grew up in a church that honored both), and Jewish families celebrate only Passover.
