"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Jenny McCarthy wants to make Evan ‘the best man possible’

Tags: News, Quotes

Jennyandevan Jenny McCarthy hasn’t softened her stance on whether or not she’ll have kids in the future — with boyfriend Jim Carrey, or anyone else for that matter!  The mom to Evan Joseph, who turns 6 this month, told People last night that "I’m done."

I got my ass kicked. All my energy and everything is on Evan to make him the best man possible.

Jenny, 35, gave Jim rave reviews for his dedication not only to their relationship, but also to Evan, her son with ex-husband John Asher. She praised Jim’s "capacity to love and to take on something that most men would completely run away from," adding,

He could have any 20-year-old perfect girl with perfect breasts, and he stays. He has really opened his heart and his life to us. I’ll forever be grateful.

    Best “man” possible?

  2. Jenny Says:

I think she means that when he’s an adult she wants him to be the best man possible, and right now she’s giving him the tools to be that person.

  3. Heather Says:

Yes “man” lol As a mother of a 5 year old. I am not raising him to be a child, I am raising him to be a man. A good man with manners and respect and his own free will. Her commitment is wonderful.
We are all raising little adults, aren’t we???

  4. Kolby Says:

OK, I know I’m pregnant and emotional, but the last part about how grateful she is to have Jim Carrey and his support in her life made me tear right up. I just love Jenny McCarthy and wish her and her family the best.

I REMEMBER THINKING WHEN THEY GOT TOGETHER …. ‘THERE ARE NO 2 BETTER PEOPLE FOR EACH OTHER!’.
SO GLAD THEY HAVE MADE A BEAUTIFUL LIFE TOGETHER.

  6. Melissa Says:

    Man? Absolutely!

I take pride in raising my three “little men”. I hope I’m able to successfully raise them to be respectful, polite, well mannered, and most of all, loving.

I realize, without a doubt, that the lessons they learn today will be carried into adulthood.

I really admire Jenny’s “realness”. I can totally relate to her.

  7. Xan Says:

    Teehee, thanks all.

I agree with the “man’ thing, I was just trying to correct the original title of the post which read “best manY possible”!

I think it’s really commendable when men take on such a hard role in the family when they get together with a woman who has a child from a previous relationship- my ex-boyfriend, the father of my son, left us when my son was 18 months old because he ‘didn’t do family’ and doesn’t play an active role in Pierre’s life. I feel really sad about that because, to be fair, my ex-boyfriend was a really good dad to Pierre, he loved him with all his heart and I know my little boy needs a male figure in his life, someone to look up to, other than his uncles and grandad!

I try and instill the Catholic values I was raised with into my son because I believe it is so important- I’m very strict with him, and I’m glad because my son is a good boy, so well behaved and has impeccable manners, he also has a very loving, caring and a affectionate nature-he tells me he loves me everyday before he goes to sleep. I’m really proud of him! I can only pray that he will turn into a beautiful person.
