Confirmed: Susana Gonzalez expecting her first child
Update: Susana confirmed this morning on the television talk show La Oreja that she is indeed expecting her first child. She also revealed the baby’s father as being an ex-boyfriend of hers named Renato, who came back into her life after her break-up with Eduardo Santamarina. Susana was not willing to discuss the pregnancy any further, but told the hosts that while she is currently in Zacatecas, Mexico with her family, she will be returning to Mexico City on May 17th and if they invite her on their show, she would be willing to reveal more details.
Susana says she is embracing this pregnancy and that she has gotten a lot of advice from her family about what she should expect.
Physically it’s a big change, I have very strong changes in me. I ask a lot of women, my mother, my grandmother. What I do know is that this is marvelous.
Originally posted May 7th: People en Espanol is reporting that Mexican actress Susana Gonzalez, 34, is currently one month pregnant with her first child. It is being reported that Susana visited Zacatecas, Mexico, where she is originally from, to break the good news to her family members this past week and is said to be very happy and excited about the becoming a mother for the first time. While Susana recently broke up with her longtime boyfriend, Mexican actor Eduardo Santamarina, the baby is reportedly not his and the source would not comment on any information of who the baby’s father is, only saying,
The only thing I can say about that is that Susana is very happy and she will have her child here in Mexico.
Susana’s rep is yet to comment.

wierd that both of eduardo’s exs are pregnant at the same time yet neither are his!
I know he was REALLY in love with Susana. I wonder what happened with them?

It makes me mad when the media basically forces a celeb to confirm a pregnancy early on. If the People En Espanol report about her being pregnant hadn’t come out, I doubt she’d have said anything about the pregnancy if she is indeed only one month along (I am not blaming People En Espanol, as, if they are anything like their North American counterpart, they do not say anything about rumored pregnancies until they are sure the rumors are true. In this case, I’m blaming whoever leaked the information to People En Espanol).
I wish the media would leave celebs alone about being pregnant. I mean, look at what happened to poor Lily Allen, for example. She, too, revealed her pregnancy very early on (I think because of the media)….and she wound up having a miscarriage. Having one has to be bad enough, but having to go through one in the public eye must be absolutly unbearable.
Lisa-Marie Presley also revealed that it was the media that forced her to reveal her pregnancy before she was ready to. No wonder celebs like Christina Aguilera and J-Lo choose to keep quiet about their pregnancies for several months!
