Tori Spelling on names, Liam, and the possibility of more children

Tags: Ha ha, Names, News, Quotes

Tori_spelling04_cbbAccess Hollywood spoke with Tori Spelling during her baby shower on Sunday, May 4th, and discussed a number of topics, including names for her daughter, due in about four weeks. However, Tori is not sharing, and for good reason, she revealed.

We have a couple floating around. It wasn’t like it was with Liam. With Liam, we found out it was a boy, and that name stuck. With her, we might wait until we meet her to see which name is appropriate.

I’m keeping them to myself. I’m always hesitant to say names out loud, because people either say, "Oh I knew a girl like that I hated in high school," or "My dog’s named that!" Those are the two common things you hear, and then you’re like, "Damn!"

Son Liam Aaron, who will be 14 months next week, doesn’t understand that a baby sister will be joining him soon, but he has discovered some of "perks" of mommy’s pregnant body, Tori laughed.

He knows that I’m now really fun to climb, like a jungle gym. My belly button recently popped out and he likes that, to play with that. I tell him there’s a baby in there, but I’m not sure what he knows.

When asked if she and Dean McDermott plan on more babies in the future, Tori explained that now is not the time, but she’s open to the idea later on. After back-to-back pregnancies, the 34-year-old actress needs a little rest!

I don’t know. We love having babies, so we might have more. I need a little break after this one! We have time if we decide.

Awe, how cute! Liam reminds me of my niece when my sister-in-law was pregnant with their second. She got that there was a baby in there, and she decided that her mom’s belly button was a walkie-talkie to communicate with the baby. She did a fair bit of climbing herself!

I’m still thinking Lilly or Lila or something along those lines … Ella or Emmi maybe? Ultra girly for sure…

  3. Shelli Says:

I blogged about Tori this afternoon. No, I didn’t steal any pics, thankyouverymuch. It was a text only post, but I rarely give compliments to or about other women, she is deserving of praise. Her style is amazing and you can tell she has a loving heart.

  4. brooke Says:

I just finished reading her book, I loved it, she seems so real and down to earth. Can’t wait to hear her daughter’s name and see her, liam is a cutie pie. I don’t blame her for wanting a break, she has been pregnant for 2yrs straight lol. It’s great she had a son, and now is having a girl, I know how much she wanted a daughter and dean now after having 2 boys gets a daughter.

  5. Kate Says:

Woah Brooke, we’re like the same person. =o Haha, I just finished her book today! It was AWESOME. Incredibly real.

I can’t wait to see the new baby; Liam is adorable!

  6. Cee Says:

I think the name may be pretty traditional, as is Liam. Thank goodness someone in Hollywod isn’t picking names that make you say, “WHY?”

  7. olive oil Says:

Cute dress. I thought their plan was to have a “hockey team?”

  8. ang Says:

im sure the hockey team sounds lovely in theory lol.i had a feeling she might like a break too-being preggo has probably zapped all her energy over the last year or 2. they r celebs who can’t afford to name their child anything unusual, even if they wanted to.it’s TORI SPELLING, ya know?she would never hear the end of it!

  9. Erika Says:

She looks so cute pregnant, she’s actually much prettier now than in the Beverly Hills days!

  10. Nicole Says:

I am so happy for them, they must be so excited for their little girl to be born soon. I bet their name will be very girly, because Tori is very girly imo.

  11. D Says:

Love Tori! Can’t wait to see the new baby. I think the baby will have a unique name. Maybe Aari? After her dad, Aaron. I like it. I believe they gave Liam the name for his middle name. She really looked great this pregnancy.
