Jessica Alba appears on Ellen, talks about kicks in the ribs
Jessica Alba recently showed off her very pink nursery, and talked about the possibility of having a son "in a few years." Nonetheless, during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Friday morning, the 27-year-old actress danced around questions about her baby’s sex, preferring to let Ellen talk about the "little girl" — while playing coy and never mentioning the words herself! With her due date a little less than three weeks away, Jessica revealed that she’s feeling "mostly really good," but has been getting kicked quite a bit.
I got feet up here in the ribs … it’s good, because the baby’s not breech. But … right into the ribs!
Jessica — who shared that fiancé Cash Warren is "super excited" about being a father — also discussed their appearance in People’s Most Beautiful issue, but denied that that’s their everyday look.
We’re slobs most of the time. That’s hair and makeup, making us all look pretty!
Jessica’s new film, The Love Guru, will be in theaters June 20th.

Jessica looked great! I was surprised she didn’t just confirm the baby’s sex, since she already showed off the nursery and told In Touch. Maybe In Touch won’t let her say publicly for awhile so people will buy the magazine?

She probably didn’t say the sex, because in touch doesn’t want her too until the magazine is released or something. She got big and looks ready to pop, but she looks good.

What did she do in In Touch? I don’t remember seeing anything but maybe I missed it.

On Ellen’s not knowing that Jessica had confirmed the sex to US Weekly, I wonder if the show was taped before US came out? Is Ellen one of the shows that pre-tapes part? I know Tyra does.

brannon- I highly doubt she’s actually having a boy. Not only is there the pink nursery in US Weekly, but Jessica was apparently overheard telling people at her baby shower that she’s having a girl. I’m assuming she probably didn’t expect that to get blabbed to the media. Also, People magazine did a little blurb on her shower and showed a pink onsie that she’d gotten at her shower (plus a friend of hers confirmed that she got a lot of pink at the shower).
Anyway, that said, I can completely understand why you just can’t picture them with a girl. I couldn’t picture Christina Aguilera with a boy at first, and even thought she was throwing off the press when she had a blue-themed baby shower. However, right before she had Max, I began to have a much easier time picturing her with a boy for some reason!

k- I have a feeling you’re right, especially since the issue of US with her nursery in it just came out a few days ago. I’m guessing that she had an agreement with US that she wouldn’t reveal the sex until the magazine came out.
