I admire her for doing domestic adoptions…there are so many children here in America that need homes and people keep adopting overseas…Anyways kudos for her for stepping up to the plate. Shes a wonderful actress!

Did I miss something? Did she adopt this child?

That is not true about domestic adoptions. They are a lot more children overseas who need homes than in america. When you do an overseas adoption once you’re done with the paper work they already have waiting child for you. That’s why international adoptions don’t take as long. Also once you have your paper work done in america you still have to wait til a birthmother to chose you. Which could take a year or more because there are so many people who adopt only from america. I’m not saying she should have done international because she can chose whatever she wants. I know this because i want to adopt my children internatioinally and also because my aunt adopted a baby from korea.

Not trying to stir anything up, but let’s be honest here. I agree that it’s great to adopt from the US. However, a white baby does not fall into the category you’re thinking, tiffanyyy. Black babies, disabled and older children, among others, have a hard time being placed. It’s truly a beautiful thing when people adopt those types of children. I am sure Edie Falco, as Sharon must have, went the private adoption route to be able to adopt a healthy, white baby. If that child was just put up for adoption with a state agency many, many people would have been lining up for the chance to adopt her.

I think ANY adoption is a very noble endeavor and is deserving of great praise! And while people like to argue over the specifics (don’t know why), a child in need is a child in need – period!
On a side note, does anyone else think that this baby looks a lot like her son Anderson? I wonder if her son was a domestic adoption as well.
