Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt take Maddox and Shiloh shopping in Cannes
Actors Brad Pitt, 44, and Angelina Jolie (not pictured), 32, took son Maddox Chivan (not pictured), 6 ½, and daughter Shiloh Nouvel, 23 months, shopping in Cannes, France today. The couple expect their fifth and sixth children this summer.

Now, on people.com it says the store clerk asked her about the gender of the twins and she said they “didn’t know and didn’t want to know.” This would seem to contradict earlier reports of it being twin girls.
Interesting! Maybe there is hope for a boy!

Wow! She is so beautiful. I usually always think she is a mini Brad but the 2nd picture reminds me of her mommy. I think it is how she is holding herself, looking so composed and lovely. Hasn’t Angie said Shiloh is a lot like her? I think it is the personality shining thru that reminds me of her mom.

Lauren, the clerk also said she bought lots and lots of white. Remember she put what many people considered “boy clothes” on Shiloh for the cover of People so even if she did appear to buy a shirt with a truck or skull & bones on it does not mean she is having a boy. I also think Angie knows better than to buy gender specific clothes when photogs are right outside the store.

Of course I want to join the chorus of beautiful child, as are her brothers and sister. What I think I see is a lot of composure in a two year old. That must be something that comes from her parents, not going crazy around so many people. We know it is only a short snap shot of their lives, but all of their children seem well behaved in public. Wonderful family and I love Brad’s summer hat!!

The doll is wearing a dress so I’m guessing it is girl but there is nothing wrong with boys wearing dresses. Most baby boys wore dresses prior to the 20th century.
What is up with everyone wanting them to have a boy. Brad and Angie already have 2 sons. Just because they already have a biological daughter having a biological son would not make this family any more complete.

Aww, she is just beautiful. I still get teary eyed seeing Brad with his kids, but especially when he is with Zahara and Shiloh. He once said he would love all girls and now he has two and soon may have more.

I agree with Lola. I don’t understand why everyone is so set on Angie having a boy. I hope it’s merely just for curiousity to what that little boy would look like and not for some medevil thought process that every family needs a son, because they already have two.
Also, I thought Angelina was quoted as saying she DOES know the genders of the twins but that she wants to keep it private? Is that true? Cuz that would contradict the store clerk’s quote of them saying they did NOT know the genders.
They bought all white garments, so that leaves no clues. darn!

I am a bit misty-eyed as I look at these photos of Brad and Shiloh. I think he wanted to be a daddy for a long time and I meeting Angelina made this dream come true! What a beautiful child. All their kids are really sweet. I can’t wait to see the new bundles. Funny how it came to be know she was having twins-thanks to Jack Black!

Firstly, Shiloh really is a beautiful little girl. The shape and size of her eyes are from Angelina but the gorgeous colour is definitely Brad. She’s the quintessential Gerber baby.
Having said that, you would almost think that Maddox hadn’t made the trip to the shops with his Mum, Dad and little sister. All across the internet, there are only snippets of him in the corner of photos where the photographer was clearly focusing on Brad, Angelina or Shiloh.
What’s that all about? I know the public is interested in how Shiloh grows up and who she looks more like but I fear this sort of thing is indicative of the treatment Maddox, Pax and Zahara can expect from people outside their family and friends as they grow up.

Shiloh is very composed for a 2year old in the midst of the chaos around her and that’s a great reflection of her parents. LOL all the kids are well behaved considering the curiousity of public mixed with the aggression of the paps.

I think Maddox is a darling little boy, and he’s been in the spotlight since he was tiny.
I think Shiloh gets more publicity because she’s still more of a baby and isn’t seen much, so when she’s around there’s a lot of interest.
Having had two boys, I can’t imagine that a shopping trip is his favorite outing at his age.

Amanda – I don’t think it’s indicative of anything. I think it’s just been awhile since we’ve had up close pictures of Shiloh like this (not the grainy creepy ones the paps were getting from the back deck of the French villa) and the paps wanted to make sure to get the shots.

Lola, the doll is not wearing a dress, you can see in the pictures at justjared that it is wearing shorts, that is why I thought it might be a boy.
I was the first person to even mention boy, and then the comments start coming in about why are people so intent with them having a boy? And what about the sons they already have? Where is all that even coming from? I just re-read and nobody makes any comments like that.
It seems very obvious that anyone curious if they are having a boy, is just that, curious, like they would be with anyone else. Not because it would make their family more complete. That statement from you seems odd to me.
I gave my 2 year old a boy doll when I was pregnant with my second. We didn’t know the sex but wanted her to get used to the idea.

Shiloh is really precious but I don’t see why people make such a huge fuss over her so much. Haven’t you ever seen a baby (non celeb related) who has been just as cute?? Sure she’s got two of the most gorgeous parents she was bound to get some good looking genes but as adorable as she is I’ve seen many children who resemble her who are just as cute!

Maddox is looking a lot older in the pictures at Just Jared. You can really begin to see that he’s going on seven years old, and a preschooler no more! He is so handsome.
This shopping trip reminds me of the one Angelina took Maddox and Shi out on almost exactly a year ago in New York. The pairs the children go out in seem almost always seem to be Mad/Pax and Zee/Shi, or sometimes Pax/Zee and Mad/Shi. I just think it’s funny we almost never see Pax/Shi going out together! It means absolutely nothing but there you go. Outsiders will always notice funny little idiosyncracies more so than those inside a family.
It’s upsetting to see the large crowd they had to wade through to get to the car. I agree with the comments above that Shiloh seems to be an exceptionally composed child, though, and that all of the Jolie-Pitt kids are amazingly well behaved in public.
I sure do hope that Brad and Angelina write either a parenting book, or autobiographies one day. What I wouldn’t give to understand what it’s like living in their world.

WOW … She really IS an adorable little doll baby.
Mommy’s beautiful lucious lips and Daddy’s beautiful piercing blue eyes.
The rest of her features, well, I personally think it’s a bit too early to really see which parent she resembles more. When she’s a bit older it will become more clear.
Meantime I see a mixture, in addition to her eyes & lips: her overall face/head shape reminds me of Angelina, whereas specifically cheekbone and cheeks like Brad.
With the genetic mix of Angelina/Brad their babies would surely be beauties, but this little sweetie is just absolutely beyond beautiful …
And I’m sure the 2 new babies on their way will be just as stunning. So, so, so adorable!

Ellia that’s funny because I found your comment odd. Shiloh has been seen with other dolls, she may have had this one for several months. What makes you think they gave her this one to prepare for a little brother? I was the last of 3 kids and my parents gave me numerous baby dolls so I don’t think it was to prepare me for anything.
I have read posts (not on the site) where the commentators say I hope Brad has a boy so he can carry on the family name. What is that about? As PJ mentioned many people have a medieval sentiment that a family is not complete until there is a biological son.

JM I agree with you, I find shiloh adorable, she has beautiful eyes and lips, but suri and dannielynn are gorgeous and so are a lot of other celebrity kids I’ve seen on this site. And amanda I agree with you, I think the adopted children will always not get as much attention as shiloh and the twins will in the future. Paparazzi and media will be curious who they grow up to look like, if they go into acting, etc. Same thing with tom cruise kids and all the attention suri gets, it’s just the way it will be in the media

I think people would be less interested in her if we saw her as much as we see the other kids. As they grow up & Shi goes out in public more, the interest in her will even out with that of her other siblings.
Plus, there will be 3 bio kids in the family & I think it will be less of a novelty once they are older (in a few years). JMO

These photos are absolutely adorable. The ones of Angelina and pushing back Shiloh’s hair in the pictures on Just Jared are just further proof of how normal this family is. That simple action of her brushing back her little girl’s hair just struck me as such a normal, idle thing that any mom (or dad) would do. The crowds outside the store were crazy! If Shiloh didn’t look so composed I would assume that Brad was kissing her on the head to comfort her, but she seems so unfazed!

athough i really hope all three are healthly (most imporently) i really hope it is girls for 2 reasons the papers might lay off shiloh and secondly there is so much crap said about zahara on the internet just because she is not the bio daughter and i don’t think the boys to have to deal with that as well.

I don’t think Angelina realizes how it’s going to affect Zahara to have three biological daughters. Shiloh and the twins will be blond hair and light eyes and that might make Zahara feel inferior, especially with all the attention they will get from strangers and even relatives. The boys might not be affected as much because their both Asian. I’m concerned for little Zahara, I hope she turns out okay.
