Victoria Beckham talks about the positives of moving to America
Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, 34, spoke with The Jo Whiley Show on the 15th of this month. The topics discussed included celebrity play dates, Cruz’s break dancing, the sports her sons play and the constant pregnancy rumors. Victoria and soccer star husband David Beckham, 33, have three sons together; Brooklyn Joseph, 9, Romeo James, 5 ½, and Cruz David, 3.
Victoria said that since moving to America, the children have begun to support The Lakers and even play their own games at home.
The kids have a basketball net in the driveway. They come back from school and shoot their hoops everyday and I cheer lead.
The mother-of-three also addressed the constant pregnancy speculation.
There are constantly rumors that I’m pregnant which I’m actually not.
Getting to school on time is something that the busy parents are strict about, as well as homework.
[David is] really really good with the kids. It’s never a worry. Like, "what are they doing?" We’re both quite strict with the boys when it comes to homework and getting up and getting to school on time.

Victoria shared that now they live in America, the boys are playing a lot more sports and have after school activities each day.
They’re not really into video games. That’s another great thing about being in America, they have so many opportunities to do so many different sports. Every night after school they do different sports. They have swimming lessons, all sorts of things, they’re quite busy. They love to surf as well.
She also added that Brooklyn is the best surfer, while Cruz is the performer.
Brooklyn’s the surfer; he has the most incredible balance. All three of them are really good at any kind of sport. They really take after their dad. They can turn their hand to most things. I didn’t even know he could do that (the break dancing on the Spice Girls tour). He [was taught by] the dancers that were on tour with us. They hang out with the boys and learn a few moves. I was completely surprised at what he did. Although as much as they love performing, they’re all so sporty. They’re very into ice hockey at the moment as well.
Victoria explained that she is grateful that she is able to sit on the sidelines and watch her boys participate in different activities.
I do sit on the sidelines every weekend and watch them do their sports and I think that’s a great position that we’re in to be able to afford for them to do all those kind of things. When it’s your kids you’re really passionate and you want them to do well because if not they’re really upset.
The boys also enjoyed the Spice Girls reunion tour this past year.
They were really amazed because they hadn’t seen me do that. Brooklyn was a baby when I did it the last time. That was my main reason for doing it, for my kids to see what I did. They sat in the front row every night and they watched it and loved it!
Victoria revealed that the celebrity family they have the most play dates with is the Samuel family.
Seal and Heidi have three kids close in age to Cruz so they have play dates and share swimming lessons.
While David would love one of his sons to have a soccer career, like most parents, they will be happy as long as their children are too.
As long as they’re happy, it doesn’t matter. David would love one of them to play soccer, because that’s what he does. It would be really handy if one of them was a lawyer to be honest. It would save fortunes and help us out hugely.

So funny. And funny about the lawyer as well. I want my children to NOT be a doctor (my whole family is in the medical field, doctors, pharmacist’s, surgeons, nurses) policeman and fireman. What We need in my family are electrician’s, masonries, plummers and auto mechanics. I will even take a lawyer too. And thus far my 16 year old daughter wants to be a firefighter in New York. My 14 year old son wants to be a Doctor. The 7 year old wants to be a firefighter (he wants to work with daddy) and the 3 year old daughter loves snakes and spiders everything I find creapy. But also loves to go around naked so I figure she’ll be a stripper who will also save the animals. (She does not eat meat of any kind!) So unless we have more kids (will NOT happen) we are not going to get our mechanics, plummer, ect. Oh well like Victoria said as long as they are happy.

I loved this interview! She’s such a great mom to her boys!
I also think it’s great how they encourage their kids to do many sports and basically get out there. A lot of parents (like Victoria says) aren’t lucky enough to be in that position to watch them play all the time. And also a lot of those teams cost quite a bit of money too.

Oh and I meant to say also that the “It’s never a worry. Like, “what are they doing?”" line was referring to Jo asking if she wondered what DAvid & the boys were up to when she wasn’t there. Like if she thinks they’re going nuts and eating junk food and playing video games

of course, if 1 of their kids WAS a lawyer, he wouldn’t be able to represent them due to conflict of interest, i believe lol but nice anyway! i suppose i could picture victoria cheerleading, but she seems very conservative. even though she’s been a spice girl obviously, i can’t see her jumping around anymore.the boys r adorable though and it’s GREAT they’re not playing indoors all the time.
