Eva Herzigová shares George’s first word, plans birthday party
Revealing that she is missing son George while in Cannes this week, Eva Herzigová plans to make up for her absence next Sunday, June 1st, when her son celebrates his first birthday. Although she initially had been considering larger-scale plans, Eva explained that her fellow mom friends talked her out of it.
I have lots of friends who have one-year-olds so I’ve been asking themall: Should I get animals or clowns or what? They’re like, ‘Well, don’t do too much because he’s stillnot old enough to really enjoy it.’ So probably somefriends and some balloons. Definitely balloons.
The Czech supermodel, 35, shared that George is starting to pronounce some words clearly — specifically, the names of his favorite ladies!
He says, ‘mama, mama’ — I speak to him in my language but that word is international. He says grandma, too.
George is the first child for Eva and boyfriend Gregorio Marsiaj.

I wonder how she pronounces ‘George’ – Gay-org? the anglo- Jaw-ge? Or the french way, which I can’t think of how to write (sounds like it has z’s or s’s, though… shorshe?).

She is such a striking woman. Sounds like she really loves motherhood.

To Lilybett: I think they pronounce it the English way. Her boyfriend is Italian (I think) and the Italian pronunciation of G is similar to the English.
The Czech way would be with a hard G, like in German, but the name George (spelt like this) is very unusual in the Czech Republic, so I do not think they use the Czech pronunciation. The Czech variant of George is Jiri (with a caron above the R), pronounced with an initial Y-sound.
