Joel Madden shares Harlow’s favorite tunes
Joel Madden may have been DJ’ing in the Hamptons this Memorial Day Weekend but his thoughts — and his priorities — were 3,000 miles away in California. Although the idea of spending his summer in the beachside hot spot would at one time have been appealing, his mindset changed after welcoming Harlow Winter Kate, his 4 ½-month-old daughter with Nicole Richie.
I’m a dad now. I’d be staying if I didn’t have the girls at home. That’s why I’m going home.
It should come as no surprise that Harlow would have eclectic musical tastes, for it is something Joel and Nicole worked to foster even while their daughter was still in utero. She "kicks her legs" when she hears a song she likes, and according to Joel that list runs the gamut — from Disney to classical, to even his own band Good Charlotte. He added,
And she likes her granddad [Lionel Richie]’s music. She likes old stuff. She’s a Cure fan … She likes The Cure.
