"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Christie Clark Barnes blogs about life with new daughter Hannah

Tags: News, Quotes

Former Days of Our Lives actress Christie Clark Barnes, 34, wrote a little about daily life with her daughter Hannah Bella, welcomed in early March, on her personal blog site. She shared,

I never knew what sleep deprivation was until recently! All those clichés you hear over and over again are all true when it comes to having a child. Thank God, we have all these fantastic books to read over, ergonomic breast pumps to use, chlorine free diapers, strollers with two seats if you decide to have two children. My mom never had it so easy, that’s for sure. I wonder what it will be like when Hannah is having children, my goodness the Jettisons here we come.

If any of you have any tried andtrue strategies for getting your child to sleep through the  night, send them my way. I read your posts. And if you have any favoritetravel spots you want to share, please do. I’m a big nerd with foldersof places I’d like to visit. We are traveling to June to the UK andFrance. Hannah got her first passport, and it’s hysterical. Any childtravel help would be greatly appreciated as well. Anyway…reallyenjoying being a new mommy, cooing and pooing is my new cup of tea!

She recently spoke to Mom To Be Depot about some of her pregnancy aversions to food and how she kept in shape during her pregnancy. Hannah is the first child for Christie and her husband, Thomas Barnes.

The Amby saved me with my non-sleeper check out Dr. Sears or
    http://www.ambybaby.com

It saved me with my son..he was in it until 10 months old and transitioned easily from it.

I don’t have kids yet so I can’t help there, but I can give a ton of recommendations for places to visit! My fiance and I backpacked all over Europe for about 3 months so I have a lot of pictures and advice to offer. Some of our favorite destinations were Wales, Norway (the Norway in a Nutshell tour from Bergen to Oslo), Bruges (Belgium), Salzburg, Jungfraujoch in Switzerland, Rome, and many other places in Italy. Feel free to email me for more info @ ashleys dot junk dot mail at gmail dot com! :)

I would tell her to go to Southern Brasil. It’s gorgeous there! Not tooo hot b/c it’s farther from the equator and GORGEOUS.

As far as travel tips –
    1. Take extra diapers and an extra set (or two) of clothes on the plane just in case.
    2. Try not to feed Hannah just before the plane takes off. When you start to taxi down the runway, that’s an excellent time to feed so her ears don’t get plugged (my son used to say “my power’s out!”) Do the same thing again when you start your descent. If she’s not hungry, try a pacifier.
    3. Use the time before your trip to find new things she really, really likes that you can do while sitting, and make a list so you can remind yourself in case she is having a difficult time on the plane and crying.
    4. Introduce her to baby massage before your trip. If she likes it and it relaxes her, this is an excellent thing to do on the plane, on your lap or with her laying on an empty chair on the plane.
    5. Try to schedule your time in the air when Hannah usually is sleeping (though if she is sensitive to being overstimulated by large groups of people, I wouldn’t encourage a red eye – she may not sleep, and on a plane with sleepy people you may become “the woman with the crying baby”).

Good luck! And enjoy your trip.

I recommend coming to Croatia. Our coast is beautiful, not nearly as crowded as other Mediterranean countries (France, Italy or Greece) AND very clean (always important with a baby).
Plus, everyone adores babies and will be more than happy to help:-)
