"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

Gwyneth Paltrow admits that she may “force” herself to become pregnant again

Gwyneth_paltrow_020908_04_cbb

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has previously stated that she wasn’t a fan of being pregnant, but she loved the end results — daughter Apple, 4, and son Moses, 2.  In the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the 35-year-old admits that those results may be what makes her decide to get pregnant again.

I may force myself to do it one more time because the result is so worth it. And also my [late] dad said to me that his only regret in life was that he had only two children and he didn’t have more.

Morning sickness was one of the reasons Gwyneth was not a fan of being pregnant.

My mother loved each [pregnancy] to bits; she felt alive and beautiful. I wanted to throw up all the time.

And if morning sickness helps keep Gwyneth from deciding to become pregnant one more time, she admits that adoption is not out of the picture.

I do feel we’re so fortunate, and we kind of owe it to humanity. We have a lot of love to give and a lot of resources.

Continue reading for Gwyneth’s thoughts on getting her body back in shape after giving birth and how she keeps her marriage alive.

On getting her post-baby body back:

I don’t want to look like a mother who doesn’t care. For myself, for my work, and for my relationship, I want to look good.

On keeping her marriage to Coldplay’s Chris Martin sexy:

I think you have to make an effort to compartmentalize a little bit. When your children are asleep, you have to open another world … children and being a parent can really drain that side of you. I would like to say ‘Go away for the weekend.’ But, of course, I’ve done that like one time on my birthday. But it’s important to carve out some time; otherwise, you don’t have an inner life. You just give all day, and then you pass out at night.

Maybe if she has a boy this time she can name it after her dad. Bruce is a nice normal name…unlike say…Apple.. *looks* Oh.. Moses’ middle name is Bruce…Well she could name it after her famous Rabbi ancestor then (as long as it’s David and not his nickname, Taz…*lol*)

I agree I would have more than what I have but the morning sickness and other unpleasant things make you wonder if you should. It is worth it in the end.Its very true you gotta chant to yourself “it’ll be worth it in the end”.They are an awesome family!

I know with all of my heart that I want another child, but I didnt like being pregnant much, so I know exactly how she feels! Being a mother is AMAZING! Its just that not everyone has the most comfortable pregnancies, and its not something we all look forward to. But luckly 40 weeks of pregnancy is NOTHING compared to a life time enjoying your children!

  4. Daniela Says:

I don’t know how to feel about this statement….If you have to “force” yourself to be pregant, if it was that unpleasant, I just don’t see why one would do it a third time.

But that’s just me! :) I’m sure others feel differently as various parts of pregnancy can be “unpleasant” but we continue to have babies anyway! :)

I just want to say that I adore Gwyneth Paltrow! I think she is a phenomenal actress, absolutely beautiful, and seems like a warm and loving mother & wife. Her kids are just too cute for words! I hope that they get the talent and looks that their parents have, and I hope that she decides to have or adopt a third child.

I sooo feel her on being sick. With our second, a daughter who is almost 9 months, I would vomit everyday sometimes multiple times a day for the first 4 months. I would lay on the couch and cry to my husband and tell him our baby was trying to kill me. Haha. I swear I had every possible symptom of pregnancy. Oddly, out of our two kids she’s the very calm laid back one, just a very easy baby. My Grandma had four kids, never got sick, no stretch marks, felt great during pregnancy etc. So again I totally relate to what she’s saying with herself and her Mom too. It’s without a doubt worth all of it but it is tough.

I really like what she says too about giving all day and passing out at night. Being a parent takes a lot out of you.

I don’t know much about her from a career standpoint and only know what I read on here as far as interviews and stuff. But, I really like her and she’s just so normal and honest. It’s refreshing!!

  7. Judy Says:

If she wants another child but doesn’t want to go through another pregnancy, then the solution is adoption.

  8. Renee Says:

I’m so glad to hear her being so honest about pregnancy and I wish her luck whether she gives birth or adopts a third child

  9. brooke Says:

Even though she hated pregnancy, I think she will have another bio child not adopt. Just my opinion for some reason

  10. COurtney Says:

Well lets see, if you have to “force yourself” then dont do it. Besides it sounds like she is having a 3rd because of how others feel about it…ie, he dad saying he wished he would have had more. Just those 2 things together would make me not do it.

That being said, I have 4 kids, 8 pregnancies. With my oldest daughter I threw up every single day, sometimes more than once, until she was 3 WEEKS OLD! Yes, it didnt stop after she was born, doc said because of the chemicals in my body I still had morning sickness. With my 3rd pregnancy I threw up everyday and then lost both babies at 10 weeks, that was heartbreaking, to be so sick and have it go all so wrong.

THe only pregnancy I didnt throw up every day was my 3rd daughter which made me really think it would be a boy, but nope shes all girl..) I have to say that I never once “forced myself” to become pregnant, Maybe its because I was too busy feeling so blessed and fortunate to complain. I would think everyday about the people unable to have any child and would give ANYTHING To have morning sickness.

Having a child me putting on your big girl panties and dealing with things…from morning sickness to your kid peeing in your bed…and everything in between.

Her statement really hit a nerve, do ya think? LOL

  11. galatea Says:

Oh come on, we all force ourselves to do somethings we hate for the result we love (i.e. going to get that root canal, dieting, the killer step class…) She’s just being honest, and she has every right to feel how she does and choose what she wants to do without other people passing judgment…

  12. Nikki Says:

I have an 8 year old son, my only pregnancy, and it just destroyed me. Permanently changed my hormonal levels, left me with major depression (a lifetime of pills there) and horrible skin.
I always wanted a houseful of kids, just like my mom, I watched her skate through four pregnancies. I’d kill to have another one, but who knows what might happen if I have another pregnancy?
Far too many people don’t talk about bad pregnancies. I had a healthy child, and I would never choose to not have him, given the choice again, but I wish I had known what could have happened before hand. That it’s not all glowing skin and rampant hair growth.

  13. mmh Says:

It is hard for me to think about getting pregnant again too!! I want a sibling for my son so very much, but between my crippling back pain (which I am told, due to my anatomy, I will suffer through each pregnancy) and high blood pressure (which may make me unable to work and therefore, completely broke =) ) it is something I really have to think about beforehand (not to mention the fact that I didn’t produce milk so had to buy pricey formula and my son has had difficult breathing issues)… It is easy for people who had easy pregnancies to dismiss her comment. Others know better =) Sorry — I am just venting! Have been asked way too many times recently when we are having another one and I wish I could list off all of these considerations!!!! Most people don’t want to hear this though!

  14. amy Says:

    Adopt instead!

  15. Elyse Says:

I haven’t even had kids yet, but I am already worrying about what pregnancy wil be like. I already have problems with my hormones causing me to feel horrible and I can only wonder how they will be during pregnancy (I probably won’t be a real pleasure to live with!!) I know for sure I will have back labor, which just thrills me to no end! ;) I want two kids someday, but who knows, I may have one and never want to do it again.

P.S. But the end result in my opinion is what would make it all worth it for me!!

  16. Mary Says:

i think if she feels so strongly about the actual being pregnant part, she should adopt. she’ll get the child without all the other stuff. that’s what it seems like she really wants. and like she said, she’s fortunate and can give a good home to a child.

  17. mmh Says:

Doesn’t it cost thousands of dollars to adopt?? Seems just as presumptuous for people to say “just adopt” as it does for them to say “just deal with the morning sickness and get pregnant again” if they don’t know you or your story.

  18. Bancie1031 Says:

If she has to “force” herself to get pregnant again than maybe she shouldn’t get pregnant. And if adoption is an option and she would rather go that way then maybe that’s the best decision for her and her husband to make.
