Elisabeth Röhm introduces Easton August, talks motherhood
Birthing her daughter to the tune of Queen’s ‘Under Pressure,’ Elisabeth Röhm found the song to be fitting for the arrival of dark-haired Easton August, who unexpectedly came two weeks early. Luckily, things have certainly slowed down since — and the 35-year-old actress is finding herself completely wrapped up in motherhood.
I knew motherhood would be fulfilling. I just didn’t know it would feellike the best thing I’ve ever done. I thought it would be an incrediblepart of my life — but it is my life. The biggest part of my day is just being with her.
Admitting that her 8-week-old’s infancy will be over "before I know it," Elisabeth is cherishing this time, especially moments that are strictly her own.
[My fiancé] Ron’s willing to do everything — change her, wake up with her — buthe doesn’t have the boobs, so that’s real mommy time. I already feelemotional about the day I’m not going to breastfeed anymore. It’s themost important job I’ve ever had.
Easton, who resembles her father in images available in Life & Style, has calmed her down, Elisabeth shared. "I don’t feel as tired or as worn-out or as short-tempered because of love," she explained. Like any proud new parent, Elisabeth can tick off Easton’s milestones, likes, and dislikes with lightening speed.
She’s held her head up for 10 seconds and laughed for the first time. She’s had her first smile, and obviously she’s had her first cry. She’s a good baby. She’s not really into the stroller right now. She loves to be wrapped tight against my chest. She likes that closeness. She hated the baby bathtub and the sink, but she loves the big bathtub when it’s half full — and I’m in it!

On the topic of baby care, Elisabeth says she owes it all to mom.Her mother stayed with the family for 6-weeks post-birth, offering theformer Law & Order star tips and tricks in caring for her newborn. It was a change in dynamic, revealed Elisabeth.
Iwas reminded how much I love my mom through this whole experience. It’sa crash course in parenting — you really feel like a kid againlearning from your parents how to do it.
Grandma is also their go-to for date night or a few hours away. Itis important for her and Ron to spend time as a couple, and to havespace to clear her own head, Elisabeth stressed.
You never want to leave your baby, and she always wantsto be with me. You have to remind yourself that you’re going to be abetter mother if you’re healthy and have time for yourself and timewith your partner.
Next up for Elisabeth and Easton is a trip abroad — they will travel to Scotland in mid-June for the premiere of her new film, The Kreutzer Sonata, at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. In October, she and Ron Wooster will tie the knot — with Easton in attendance!

Ms Rohm certainly sounds like one of the more down to earth celebrity moms! BTW, she’s also one of those actresses who, rare nowadays, never seems to have a hair out of place, never dresses “out there,” but always looks so put together, without sacrificing style. She has the knack of knowing just what looks good on her, apparently, because she always looks so stylish and pretty.
