Heather Graham: “If it’s meant to be, it’ll be”
Heather Graham is a woman in her thirties who is determined to have a baby … or at least she plays the part in her new movie, Miss Conception! In reality, the 38-year-old actress admits that she has never felt the pressure of having children by a certain point in her life and follows the philosophy of "if it’s meant to be it’ll be."
To be honest, I’ve never been that kind of person that’s like, ‘I have to have a baby right now!’
Lately though, Heather’s feelings toward pregnancy and motherhood may be changing as she is "thinking about it — could be fun" and that she "might like to [have children]" one day. She does however, recognize people’s fascination with pregnancy and the miracle the body performs by bringing a new life into the world.
Pretty strange that like I could have a person grow inside me and shoot it out of my body — it’s funny!

oh come on, lighten up. Think about it…along with all the pain and discomfort…some of it was pretty funny. The fear of a little gas escaping in the middle of a meeting. The baby kicking and doing crazy freaky circus tricks again during a meeting. Never knowing what place your hormones were going to be in.
I’m sure she will have a child when it is right for her. And if she doesn’t than who cares…her life.

I agree…relax. Some people like to see the humor in things. Not everyone is such a sap about the whole thing pregnancy/birth event.

I have to say I thought a lot of pregnancy and even child birth was funny, I had a positive birth and spent all but the last 20 mins or so giggling with my partner and midwife

I’m sorry, but doesn’t it seem like with so many young celebs having babies, that now the media is putting so much pressure on older celebs to start having babies. I mean some of the interviews I have seen people are so intrusive, and it seems so rude. There has been such in infux of older celebs talking about whether they want babies or not etc. It’s like everyone has them on a clock.

Aya I agree. Rebecca, regular women are criticized for not wanting to have babies so I can completely understand a celeb using statements like “If it’s meant to be it’ll be” to hide their true feelings because they will have the whole world on their back judging them for their decision. Remember we still live in a society where women are supposed to crave motherhood from the time they are born.
I also think pregnancy and childbirth is funny, wonderful, hard, and everything in between. I’m sure having a sense of humor about the whole thing makes it easier to get through.

She is just trying to make a joke, and not get into details. No big deal IMO
