Update: The Biggest Loser’s Kai Hibbard Zwiestra expecting first child, a son
Update: The baby is a boy, to be named Jacob Lawrence after his father and grandfather. Jacob is due to arrive on October 25th.
Originally posted April 29th: Kai Hibbard Zwiestra lost 118 pounds throughout her journey on The Biggest Loser during season 3, has gotten married and is now ready for the next chapter in her life — becoming a mother.
Kai has announced that she is 15 weeks pregnant with her and husband Jake’s first child, due in late October. To view a picture of the ultrasound, click here.

Hey CB, I just wanted to thank you guys so much for posting stuff from the BL show! I am a HUGE fan of that show and I always wonder how the people do once leaving the show. I know they aren’t “real” celebs but it is still really nice to hear about them! I was so excited when I saw you guys post about Julie and now Kai, this is great! Thanks again I totally appreaciate it

15 weeks in early to find out the sex! Congrats to them.

This is an update post so she was 15 weeks back in April. Now she’s 21 weeks.

I wanted to add that it is possible to find out the sex at 15 weeks. I was a few days before 16 weeks when I found out we were having a boy. A friend also found out she was having a girl around the same time in her pregnancy. So it’s possible with a good tech & a clear picture.
