  1. Destiny Says:

I’m still single and I’m a pretty smart lady, but I hope my husband will be smarter. So in my (future) house/family, PAPA will know what’s best.

When I was growing up, it was probably the other way around though :-)

  2. Jenny Says:

I would hope that both parents could “know best” in different areas and help to balance each other out. (ie mom is great with playing outside, dad is great with homework.)

  3. Heather Says:

He is just too funny :0)

We both know best – sometimes it’s mom, sometimes it’s dad, and sometimes it’s collective smarts. We are lucky, we are a good team.

  4. Ryan Says:

I think it’s better when it’s a collective effort and not just one person pulling the strings. In my home, growing up, it seemed to be my mother who knew best.

  5. Stef Says:

In my family, it was always mother and father came to an agreement with everything child rearing related, so whatever one knew, the other knew. Therefore, there was no first place or “best.” I made one futile attempt to play mom against dad (i.e. Mom said no so let’s go ask Dad) and upon discovering what I did, my mom gave me one warning that if I ever did that again, I’d be up to my neck in it. LOL

I think that’s pretty cool. It’s a stark contrast to tv shows nowadays were the dads are played like buffoons and the wives have to play overbearing, nagging, controlling mother to their own husbands. Case in point: Everybody Loves Raymond. I can’t even watch the show because the dynamic between Ray and Debra bothers me so much.

  6. Michelle Says:

In my house, we both know best. Well, maybe me a little more. Ha Ha
