Zoe Lucker finds pregnancy “liberating,” opts for delivery surprise

British actress Zoe Lucker, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend James "Jim" Herbert, says that there’s "something liberating about being being pregnant." Speaking in this week’s edition of Hello! magazine, she said,

[Pregnancy] has unexpected benefits. I feel comfortable walking down the street with people looking at me, whereas I used to hate it. Not that you can let yourself go. but there is nothing you can do and you give your body over to someone else. In the first few months it is a very odd thing, waking up every day and your body is changing without you doing anything about it. I used to be a terrible insomniac but now I sleep really well.

The 34-year-old also revealed that she and James plan to have a delivery surprise at their local NHS hospital in Surrey.

Everyone has opinions because of my shape, but we can’t see anything on the scans so we are going to have a surprise. I have found a brilliant midwife who is great and I feel in such good hands. She is happy and bubbly and she makes me feel I could ask her anything without feeling embarrassed.

Zoe’s due date is August 28th.
