I just read somewhere that they might be having twins. Something about Pete slipping up and saying they’re keeping a journal for when “they” are bored or something like that…. allegedly of course. That could be exciting!

Pete gave a statement on that to Perez right after he said it. He said,
“That was waaaaay wrong. I meant to say ‘the baby’ and said ‘them’ ’cause it was 7 a.m. Not in a BS way: I can tell you we are absolutely not having twins. I totally misspoke ’cause we dunno if it’s a boy or girl. I try to speak vaguely, and I totally blew it on this one.”
So no twins!

Makes sense, he probably meant to say “it” or “the baby”….. ie. we’re keeping a journal for the baby. Since he doesn’t know if it’s a boy a girl, you can’t call it he or she, so I can understand why he would call it “them”…. plus he wouldn’t come back with a statement like that if he were in fact having twins.

Sarita, I believe Ashlee & Pete announced the pregnancy themselves if I’m not mistaken. On some website or something along those lines.

Sarita, Pete made an official statement about it on his website a little bit ago.
On my own end, I am very happy for them, and they seem adorable together, but it still seems odd to me that she is pregnant! I remember her when she was so much younger. I guess time really does fly!

I don’t think we know who told Sarita. I’m wondering if it was just made up and happened to be true…I mean, pretty much any time a celeb gets engaged (like Fergie & Josh Duhamel) tabloids start saying the woman is pregnant. Maybe that’s what happened here, only the mags got lucky b/c Ashley really is pregnant…?

Love that they’re so down to earth and I do love Chili’s! It’s a happening place to be. Doesn’t always have to be the most glamorous place to hang out! I see her belly getting bigger, yeah!!

Ashlee showed me her “ baby bump” as Pete gently patted it. “I’m hoping for a baby girl,” said Ashlee, and Pete playfully added: “I’m hoping for a baby boy. But we will be happy if it’s a boy or a girl.”
