Mary McCormack grateful to network for maternity leave
Mary McCormack, 39, can currently be seen in the new USA summer series In Plain Sight — Though there was a point in time where it looked like her pregnancy with daughter Rose, 9 ½-months, might derail the project altogether. The former West Wing actress recounts for MediaBlvd Magazine that the producers and network selected her to star in the show before she learned she was expecting; Instead of re-casting the part, they delayed production for over a year to accommodate her schedule. It was a gesture Mary called "a huge compliment." She added,
This time I said ‘Flip, if I’m going to have any more babies, I’m calling you first,’ which my husband yelled at me for. [He said] ‘Maybe call me first. And then we’ll call USA.’
In addition to Rose, Mary and husband Michael Morris are parents to another daughter, 3-year-old Margaret.

Love the show. It is filmed and set in my city and it has been great for all of us. She is great and cant wait for the next episode. It was great of them delay for her. I dont think it would be the same show without her.
