"My baby self weaned despite me trying to keep up the nursing! I find it so refreshing to hear Gwen talk about how hard she works to lose weight and keep herself in top shape. She looks great and has a beautiful family."

“I sit there and play princesses with my daughter, and I never told her anything about a princess, ever. Whereas I go to my brother’s house, and he’s got two boys…I walk in the front door, and I instantly get punched in the nuts.”

Mally bibs: Everything’s better in leather

Mallybibs_2 We stopped using bibs in our house when my son started refusing to wear them. He’s rather convincing, so I resigned myself to doing more laundry. Fast forward a year or two, to the day I opened a package from mally bibs. Two beautiful leather bibs — yes, leather! — slid out and my son’s shirts have been clean ever since!

Made from special kid-safe leather that easily wipes clean with a wet cloth, mally bibs aren’t your average bibs. But yours aren’t the average kids, either, are they?

mally bibs are available in over 40 designs, using 16 colors, so there’s a bib to suit every baby. And they’re available in two sizes, too. The baby size ($32.95) fits children from 6-36 months, while the toddler size ($38.95) is 25% larger and fits 1 to 4-year-olds.  But the real secret to the bib success at my house came in the form of the custom design option ($5.50 extra). I sat at the computer with my son and let him pick an image and colors for the front and back of his bib (mally bibs are completely reversible and have a handy food-catching pocket on one side). So when his toddler-sized, watermelon-picture-on-orange-and-lime-green bib arrived, he was chuffed.

Mallybibs2 mally bibs also sent a beautiful bird-patterned baby bib along for my daughter and though she’s not old enough for solids yet, my son insisted she try it on. It looked gorgeous, of course, and I got giddy thinking about how easy things will be in the bib department this time around!  Another amazing feature of mally bibs is how kid-friendly they are. The leather is soft on skin and the unique adjustable magnetic clasp on the back won’t catch or tangle hair (see photo at right).  Which brings me to my very favorite thing about mally bibs: Storage. After wiping them clean with a damp cloth, we just throw them onto the front of the fridge. They’re the prettiest — and most useful — fridge magnets we own!

While it may sound absurd to spend over thirty dollars on a bib, a bib from mally bibs really will be the only one you’ll need — until you decide you love another design so much that you have to buy it, too!). They clean-up easily and are durable enough to stand up to anything your child throws at them (sometimes literally).

mally bibs are available online here. For the entire month of June, get free shipping within North America on every order.
