The one thing you left off a great list is a travel pillow. There are a lot of styles to choose from. One I found that not only feels great (it's a satin cover which is great for your skin and hair) but it also looks classy and rich. I keep it on my sofa to use as a nap pillow when I'm not traveling. I found it online at A Touch Of Satin. If you're going to travel in style and be comfortable doing it then a travel pillow is a must!

You all left out my favorite trip trick! For every hour of good behavior, they get a present. It can be anything--I stop by my local dollar-type store before the trip and buy enough goodies for the trip there and back and wrap them in cheap dollar-store wrapping paper. My girls LOVE this and are AWESOME in the car--they are one and three and we just made a seven-hour car trip (14 hours there and back) and they were good as gold both ways. The toys/treats you give out on the way there double as the toys they'll play with while there--so don't worry about packing any toys except for lovey-type toys. I also recommend keeping a quick change of clothes, a towel, and a few clear-ish drinks and easy to clean up snacks(as in dry--goldfish, pretzels, etc.) The towel comes in handy for roadside diaper changes and/or cleaning up spills. Happy travels!!
