Update: Itatí Cantoral expecting a daughter
Update: Itatí’s ex-husband Eduardo accidentally let it slip that the Mexican actress is expecting a baby girl. While Itatí is annoyed that he let the cat out of the bag — as she was planning to sell the exclusive rights to a Mexican magazine– Eduardo swears that it was an innocent mistake. Says Eduardo,
I’m really sorry, believe me, if I jumped the gun. I didn’t say it to hurt anyone, but because I was excited by the news, and if I was responsible for making things difficult for you, Itatí, then forgive me.
Itatí confirmed the slip, and even revealed the name she has chosen for her daughter.
I’m going to name her Maria Itatí. See, I’m even giving it to you for free.
Originally posted May 7th: Mexican actress Itatí Cantoral, 32, is currently four months pregnant with her third child, her first with fiancé Carlos Alberto Cruz. Itatí — who has twin sons, Jose Eduardo and Roberto Miguel, 7, with her ex-husband, Mexican actor Eduardo Santamarina — couldn’t be more excited and strongly believes this pregnancy to be a miracle, since she only has one ovary.

Itatí shared that while her boys couldn’t be happier for a newbrother or sister, her family is rooting for a baby girl. Itatí, onthe other hand, admits that girls are much more complicated and shewould be very happy with another boy!
Everyonein my family wants a girl, but I support it being a boy! I like men alot, I think they’re much less complicated than we are.
Itatí,who quickly returned to her work after the birth of her twins, hopes tokeep the same plan following the birth of this baby as well. Rightnow, she is currently working on a musical and hopes to be back atwork, with her newborn by her side, as soon as the baby is born.
Hopefullyeverything in my pregnancy goes smoothly and I am able to fulfill myresponsibility with this musical. My chest and my baby will always betogether. This career gives you the opportunity to be able to takeyour kids to your job and I did it with my twins.
Itatí and Carlos Alberto were engaged in August 2007.

I dont know her or her shows, but this sounds like she rather wanted to cash on her baby unlike others who wanted to control the baby’s fist picture. So the gender is out, and we all can continue on with our days, no big deal. I for one, don’t really mind that I read that she’s having a girl rather then in a Spanish magazine. I like Eduardo a lot, though

I agree Nikki and Caitlin. And maybe saying things like that is more tolerable in Mexico- if an actress said that in the states the media would’ve created a circus over that comment.
