"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

It’s been five months since Heath Ledger passed away, and although the media wants a "dark story," co-stars say that just isn’t the man they knew. Speaking at Sunday’s press day for The Dark Knight, which opens July 18th, Gary Oldman reminisced about how during breaks in filming, Heath would "sit on the curbside …  laugh and talk about his daughter Matilda [Rose]." The actor added, "I thought he was just a beautiful kid. I thought he was justwonderful. I had a real affection for him."

Co-star Aaron Eckhart, who plays District Attorney Harvey Dent opposite Heath’s Joker, agreed, sharing, "Heath showed me pictures of [Matilda] … [he] would come in and say she did this and she did that."

Heath passed away from an accidental prescription pill overdose on January 22nd, 2008. Matilda, now 2 ½, is his daughter with actress Michelle Williams.

So sad! He obviously adored his baby girl! :( I think it just really sucks that he didn’t get to see her grow up…very unfortunate.

He was one of my absolute favorite actors…I still feel sad to think he’s gone, and even sadder for Matilda to grow up without her wonderful dad.

I still can’t believe he’s gone as well. My heart still aches for Matilda. It’s so sad that she wont grow up not knowing who the real Heath was or what he was really about. But I’m sure their will be millions of people to tell her how much of a doting father he was to her :)

I do miss Heath, but we have his work to remember him by and Matilda. He probably watches over her from Heaven so they are still together in spirit.

I just loved Heath, he was a great actor. Of course I didn’t know him, but he just seemed to adore that baby.
He looks so much like him, too.

It broke my heart when I heard the news, but I am sure much worse on Michelle and his family.

I love the quote from Gary Oldman (one of my faves) he summed it up perfectly…

My dad passed away when I was 16..it was hard and still is..but at least I remember him ;(

loved the movie, his best acting yet, tragic how it all ended.
