Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber expecting second child
Us Weekly is reporting that actors Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts are expecting their second child. Naomi, 39, is said to be about four months along, giving her a December due date. Reps for the couple refuse to confirm or deny, explaining that they do not comment on their clients’ personal lives.
A lack of announcement is no surprise, however, given the way the couple handled their pregnancy with Alexander ‘Sasha’ Pete, who will celebrate his first birthday later this month. With their son, the rumors started around the four-month mark as well, first appearing in In Touch, then the NY Post. After Naomi attended the 2007 Oscars in an Escada gown (and small bump), the company sent out a press release — but all Naomi would say was, "I’m having a good time." Finally, confirmation: In late February, Liev, 40, simply told Conan O’Brien, "I’m going to be a dad."

I cant imagine being a celebrity and being outed like this. This should be a special time, and the parents shouldn’t feel like they have to announce news like this until they are ready, JMHO.
If the news is true, I am really happy for them. I would love to see them with a little girl! Sasha is such a cutie!

Congrats to them if it’s true, though I do agree that it sucks that they cant let people know in their own time.
Sasha is so beautiful. I cant wait to see the pregnancy progress and see him as a big brother.

That’s great news. When exactly is Sasha’s birthday? Naomi is in the exact same position as me – my son Taylor was born July 30 last year and I am now due with #2 in December. My babies will be 16 months apart. Anyone have babies this close and have any advice for Naomi and for me? I think we’re in for a busy ride, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! I’m thrilled my little guy will have a sibling so close, and hopefully they will be the best of friends

Kelly liev is Ukrainian and sasha is the slavic nickname for Alexander is how naomi explained it.

I have two girls 17 mos. apart and all will be fine. I was worried about getting everything done for my kids and worrying about making sure that I remembered to do everything with my household all at the same time, at first I was a bit overwhelmed but you just deal with it. You work it out and everything falls into place. You will feel like you haven’t slept in years(which will actually be kind of true!) but it is all worth it. My two girls are 4 and the youngest will be 3 shortly and they are the best of friends, they love to play together and they can’t be without each other, which I think is great. I was unable to nurse my second one so I had a fantastic husband who shared some nighttime feeding responsibilities when we had two little ones at the same time, but have a positive outlook, it will be great and your children are a blessing enjoy them! good luck to you!

Wow, surprising but exciting! My eyes grew wide when I read the title and then I said, “Yayyy!” Sasha is a beautiful little boy and Naomi and Liev seem like great, low-key parents.

You’ve got the right actress. Naomi has said she’d have quite a few kids if she can, but knows that because of her age the number of kids she can still have is limited. I believe she last said she planned to try for three and would be trying as soon as possible. Obviously she was successful!

Kelli, the baby years are the easy ones with close in age kids. Mine are 19 months and now 13, and 11 1/2. I also have a 6 year old. I look back and think it was tough but that was easy compared to this age, they are busy and with school and such. I think it was easier with 2 in diapers. Don’t worry:)

Considering the source is US Weekly, I’m guessing this rumor is true. I have found that, when something appears in US Weekly, it turns out to be true about 9 times out of 10. While People is the celebrity-based magazine I trust the most, I trust US Weekly the second most. I’d even venture to say that US Weekly is usually about 95 percent accurate.
The only celebs they’ve printed false rumors about quite a bit are the Jolie-Pitts and and the Holmes-Cruises (although lately they have been very accurate about the J-Ps). Unlike other magazines, however, they don’t just make up those rumors (at least as far as I know). When a rumor they print turns out to be false, it’s because the source they used gave them incorrect information, or because they forgot to check their facts throughly.
