Gaby Espino welcomes first child, daughter Oriana

Venezuelan actress Gaby Espino welcomed her first child with husband Cristóbal Lander on Wednesday, July 9th in Caracas, Venezuela. Baby girl Oriana Lander Espino weighed 6.8 pounds and both mom and baby are said to be in "in a perfect state of health."

In a statement released by Gaby via her publicist, the 30-year-old shares that she is "living one of the best stages of my life" and that "being a mother is a feeling that can not be described with words."  Through the statement to the press, Gaby wanted to "profoundly thank the public" who she says "during the months of pregnancy" have only showered her with "love for me, my husband, and my little daughter."

During the birth, Gaby — who calls motherhood "a blessing I want to share with all of you" — was surrounded by her all her family and loved ones minus her husband, who was in Colombia shooting a commercial.  Upon hearing the news of the birth of his daughter, Cristobal immediately hopped on a plane back to Venezuela to be with his new family.

Gaby had announced the pregnancy back in January.
