In our family, all five of us kids have middle names starting with A. My oldest brother has carried on this tradition with his sons as well.
Another interesting trait in our family names is that I think we’re going to have a John Ippoliti in each generation. There are already three as far as I know (my father, brother and nephew).
About the babies’ names: I like them…and I’m also jealous: I wish I had been named Vivienne.

I’m writing from Hungary. I just want to say that it is really strange fot me to give my children a family name but it is a really good idea. In Hungary people think that it is too old-fashioned. I have three children. All got traditional Hungarian first names but their middle names(they have 2 middle names) (although in Hungary your child can just have 1 middle name) were chose from different countries.
My twin girls are:
Detre Ludovika Gvendolin
Áfonya Sigurdottir Vittoria
And my baby son’s name:
Kelen Baltazár Charon

if ever i have kids on my own in the future…for sure i will name them from the combination of my name and my surname or names of our ancestors…
i love the name of dean gabriel for boy and mary antoinette for girl….

I have 2 sons who have the same initials. Kyle Randall will be 21 in September and Kolton Raine is 17. My late husband, lost tragically in an auto accident at the age of 39, was Kerry. It was my wish to have the boys first initial the same as Kerry’s, while he just wanted to make sure that at least one of them had a “cowboy” name, hence Kolton.

My daughter was named after my grandmother. Grandmother’s name was ‘Allie Jackson’.
I named my daughter, Allison, we call her Allie.

Yes I love family names. Our daughter’s middle name is her great grandmother’s. Our oldest son’s middle name is the same as both of his grandfathers and our youngest son’s middle name is his grandfather’s middle name.

My eldest son is named Justin Christopher (His dad’s name is Chritopher) My daughters name is Ashlynn Jean (Jean for my maternal grandmother). My mother is named Gina and my middle name is Jeanette.
