Maggie Gyllenhaal can’t stand to be away from daughter

As she’s stated previously, Maggie Gyllenhaal started production on The Dark Knight when her daughter Ramona, now 21-months, was just 7-months-old. When filming completed seven months later, Maggie was no longer a breastfeeding mom. The 30-year-old actress admits she worried that weaning midway through the shoot would be apparent to film-goers, but was pleasantly surprised by the end results.

I was surprised that you couldn’t tell when you watch the movie but the wardrobe woman was unbelievable. She tailored all the clothes for me and she somehow nipped ‘um and tucked ‘um when I changed.

Maggie also revealed that since becoming a mom she’s "absolutely" become more discriminating when it comes to the film roles she chooses. "It’s funny how it happens so organically," she says, "It’s very hard to get me away from her."

Ramona is the first child for Maggie and fiancé Peter Sarsgaard.
