Jodie Sweetin talks about Zoie’s “uncanny timing”
Finding one-on-one time with your partner or spouse after the birth of a baby is tough. It’s an obstacle Jodie Sweetin says she’s now all too familiar with, ever since she and husband Cody Herpin welcomed daughter Zoie Laurelmae, 3-months. Today, the couple will celebrate one year of marriage, and Jodie says she’s determined that — for a short while, at least — they’ll remember that "before we were parents, we were partners." She adds,
What I really want to do this weekend though is find some time with Cody to just be a ‘couple’ for a few hours. Having a new baby definitely changes things — in a wonderful way of course. But there is some adjustment!
Zoie, the 26-year-old actress revealed, has a knack for making her presence known at an inopportune moment. "The baby has uncanny timing to figure out when we’re about to sit and eat or when I finally put my feet up to read a book," Jodie says, "All you moms out there can relate, I’m sure!"

I just LOVE her…I wish her and Cody all the BEST! I agree as a couple you need time to get away and reconnect.

Ugh, my sons ALWAYS do that, I totally feel you Jodie! I think they have sensory detectors whenever my butt hits the couch or my head hits the pillow. Last night I had a big bowl of ice cream and was settling down to watch Singing Office and my youngest started WAILING out of a dead sleep. I came back and the show was half over and my ice cream was soup.
Watcha gonna do??

My son is 7 months old (today actually!) & since he’s been born, we’ve not had dinner without him once. He’s been in a dead sleep, then will wake right up as soon as the food is hitting the plates. Early on, meals were spent with daddy holding him, now he’s in his high chair though.

Oh, man, Allie, that must’ve scared the CRAP out of you! It always freaks me out when my niece or nephew starts up out of nowhere.
Zoie is just too cute and Jodie’s actually on my TV right now! Haha.

Just like in Christmas Story I haven’t had a hot meal in 12 years. It never stops – my kids (12,9 and 8)practically ignore me until I get on the phone and now many of the calls are for them. They’re great though and I wouldn’t trade any of them for anything. I wish this beautiful family the best and also a hot meal eventually.
