Pete and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz hitch a ride
Pete Wentz cradled wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz’s growing belly as they hitched a ride on Sunday at the American Century Championship. The event was held at the Edgewood golf course on the shores of Lake Tahoe, NV. Musicians Pete, 29 — who is "becoming my dad" — and Ashlee, 23, will welcome their first child this fall.

Most people like to bag on these two, but I just love them. They seem so into each other and they are both so cute. You can’t fake happiness like that.

Love, Love, Love them! I love how he is holding her belly. So cute! They remind me A LOT of my fiance and I and I just can’t wait till we have our first to see how my fiance is. I love the way he is with her.

BTW South Lake Tahoe is in California, not Nevada. The state line runs through the lake. Edgewood is on the Nevada side. It should say, “on the shores of Lake Tahoe, NV”.

Dear Ashlee,
You look cute (love the sandals). You and your husband are cute together (not too sure about your choice of eyewear though). Wearing shoestrings around your forehead is NEVER cute (under any circumstances).

i think these two are so cute.
the only thing i can’t understand- pete always looks soo exhausted. i can’t imagine how tired he will look once his little one is born

When I was a little kid in the 70s I wore a band in my hair just like that. I was trying to be like the hippies I saw when we’d go up to the city (SF). So, sentimentally, I’m digging Ashlee’s look!

Ok, the headbands are beyond awful….I really couldn’t stomach AS in the past but since PW/marriage/baby she doesn’t seem so bad. They do seem like a such a “real” couple…that’s very refreshing.

My first thought was why is she sitting on his lap on a golf cart? Maybe I’m being cautious, but should she be doing this? It reminds me of a story Natalie Morales just did for the Today show on the beach, she was jostled around in a dune buggy/ATV vehicle. Anyone else concerned about this? I know golf carts go slow, but they also tip over, etc.

I agree that they are a cute couple! They really do seem like the “real” deal. I’ve noticed that Pete hasn’t been wearing his “guyliner” much since they announced their pregnancy. I hate to say, I actually think he is cute with the eyeliner on. Lol

I have always liked these two together. It’s even better now that they are married and expecting there first child. I think they will have a boy.
Ashley & Pete are just adorable. I wish them nothing but the best.
I also think Pete was super cute wearing his eyeliner. Lol

Awwww! They look SO in love. They kind of remind me of how Nicole and Joel were when they found they were expecting.
Makes me jealous! lol

I agree that they are super cute and I’ve always liked Pete’s style. One question…Is she wearing a wig? In the second photo, you can see in the back of her hair it doesn’t fall properly – plus, her part looks artificial. I hope she is ok.

I think it is just the headband that is pushing her hair up but I agree, I hope all is well for her too. I do think they are great together. And Pete’s insomnia should serve him well during those early morning baby hours! I’ve been one for 20 years and figure that’s about the only time I will appreciate the ability to be awake at 4am.

I love them, I really do. They are so cute together and I’m happy for them. However, I don’t understand why she wears pretty much the exact same thing in like every picture and why she is always wearing that headband. I love the look, but I think she should change it up a bit.
