Maggie Gyllenhaal says fiancé is an equal parent
In the cover story for the August issue of Marie Claire, Maggie Gyllenhaal says that when it comes to providing care for their 21-month-old daughter Ramona, fiancé Peter Sarsgaard "has been absolutely equal in terms of parenting." As an actor himself, Peter "really understands what it means to work until 5 in the morning," Maggie says, "or if I say ‘I need you to sit down and help me learn these lines,’ or ‘I need you to take Ramona.’"
Maggie recently returned the favor, however, when she walked away from a role because it required too prolonged of an absence from Peter. Instead, mom and daughter joined Peter on the set of the film he was shooting in London. "I loved being ‘the wife,’" Maggie said, "but if I didn’t have my work, it would be rough on me." In the weeks and months after welcoming Ramona the 30-year-old actress says she battled feelings of self-doubt, and threw herself headlong into the process of "learning how to be a mother and make a home with a child." She adds,
I didn’t know what I was doing. It’s so hard and requires so much work and careful thought. You just get stronger and stronger.
So strong, in fact, Maggie revealed the couple is contemplating a larger family. "People say two is so hard," she said, "but I think we probably will [have another baby]."

It seems like every day, or even twice a day, there is a story about Maggie Gyllenhaal. Why some many stories on her?

Because she’s promoting The Dark Knight and doing the press blitz that comes with it.
I’m glad they’re thinking about having another baby. Ramona is so cute! I need to find my own Peter, my husband isn’t THAT supportive!

I thought they were married before she had Ramona…I could’ve swore. Weird.

Problem is Maggie…you’re not the wife, b/c you’re not married. You might wanna get on that.

I am sick of the stories too. She was sub-par (I’m being nice) in TDK.
