"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Sigourney Weaver says College-Bound Daughter “Will Have a Good Time”

Wi_15879947_sigourney_mayer_2Despite "always being cast in things," 18-year-old Charlotte Simpson has no real interest in acting, says her mom Sigourney Weaver. In a new interview with the Times Online, the 58-year-old actress reveals that Charlotte — who is college-bound in the fall — "wants to be a costume designer." Still, Sigourney muses, "who knows what will happen?"

I think you only end up in this business if it’s the only thing that will make you happy. If that’s how she feels at the end of college then more power to her. I’ll totally support her.

Calling her daughter the type of person who "will have a good time whatever she chooses," Sigourney adds:

She’s not a tortured soul; she’s a cork who’ll bob through life.

Charlotte is the only child for Sigourney and her husband, director Jim Simpson.

I’m so happy that she had 5 years with her mother after reconciling. Sigourney Weaver has always been a “class act”. Sharing this bit of poignancy, hopefully will stress to the upcoming generation, how sacred/important those familial bonds are.
