On The Road With Drea de Matteo, Rocker Dad and Baby Daughter
In the new issue of PEOPLE magazine, on newsstands now, former Sopranos star Drea de Matteo offers a peek at her life as a new mom. Her, rocker boyfriend Shooter Jennings and their 7-month old daughter Alabama Gypsyrose are spending their days in a crowded — but happy — tour bus. Also sharing the space are the eight other band members of the .357’s, and "Bama’s" nanny (who also cared for Drea years ago). Says Shooter, 29, of the snug quarters: "I love waking up with her. I don’t remember a life without her."
The pregnancy, which took Drea, 36, and Shooter by surprise, left the actress feeling unprepared. "We took, like, 50 pregnancy tests. He was really excited, but I was crying, ‘I’m not ready!’" She quickly changed her tune after Alabama’s arrival by emergency c-section last fall. "[Now,] I can’t believe I waited this long. I want four!"

Nope Bama was born December 5th I believe. I cant wait to see pics of her. I love them and their family. SO cool that Bama and Drea get to share their nanny. A great thing to share. She can tell her stories about her mom as she gets older.

She was born Nov. 28 so she’s close to 8 mo.

Chicki – Alabama will be 8 months on/around the 29th. It does seem longer though. I thought the same thing until I went back and checked.

OK, we have 3 different birthday’s on this post so I looked it up on Wikipedia and it says Alabama was born on November 28, 2007 (consequently, that’s my birthday!). So she’ll be 8 months next Monday.

It’s this week’s issue with Angelina and Brad on the cover. It’s a really sweet article.
