"I just LOVE him and love the fact that he has turned into such a wonderful actor, partner and father. Good for him. The pic with the two of them together just melts my heart. My hubby looks at me like that still and I treasure it because some women wish they could find a good man who will still look at them the same way they did years before."

"If you ask Violet what I do, she'll say she remembers me bowing on stage when I did a show in New York, and so she'll say, 'My mom sometimes will bow on stage and sometimes she gets her hair and makeup done.' It's a great job!"

Doug Savant Looks Forward to His “Moment of the Summer”

Tags: Dads, Quotes

Doug_savantIn the upcoming season of Desperate Housewives, everything on Wisteria Lane is about to change as the story line is fast forwarded five years.  While the main characters will stay the same, the children of the picture-perfect street are all being replaced with older kids — including Tom and Lynette Scavo’s four children.  Actor Doug Savant — who plays Tom on the hit show — is "devastated" that "our children" had to learn the ropes of Hollywood at such a young age saying, "Once you get a job, you’ll ultimately be fired or the show will end and you will lose your job!"

While Tom is not looking forward to starting the new season without his TV sons, he is excited about his upcoming "moment of the summer" with his real-life 7-year-old son Jack Douglas.

My favorite moment of the summer will be this weekend — a baseball team I am coaching of 7- and 8-year-olds is playing in the Pinto World Series.  That accomplishment — that our kids have gone that far — will be my moment of the summer.

Doug’s wife and Jack’s mother is actress Laura Leighton who together also have daughter Lucy Jane, 3.  Doug has two daughters — Arianna Josephine, 16, and Madeline Marie, 15 — with his ex-wife Dawn Dunkin.

I love him, he’s among my favorite people from DH (the others are Susan and Orsen) I can’t wait for the new season to start.
Laura was my favorite on MP.

Love them both, recently watched the first two series of Melrose Place and I could’t believe these two ended up together really.
Don’t really watch Desperate Housewives but the episodes I have seen were good.
The two little twins on the show are lovely to will be a shame they have to leave.

  3. Leigh Says:

Isn’t common practice to “age” kids on soaps and dramas? I’ve only known sitcom kids to “grow up” on camera. Anyway, the only kid I’ll really miss is Parker Scavo (the non-twin little boy) cuz he was sooo cute and a total sweetheart. As for Tom’s FIFTH child, Kayla (from Tom’s past relationship with the late Nora Huntington)… I hope that whole issue is squashed b/c it added nothing but annoyance to the show. That’s my two cents. :-)

  4. Lady Anne Says:

Nice guy. We played his son’s baseball team in the World Series over the weekend and sent them packing. They lost horribly to us, but took it gracefully and he even posed for a few pics and autographs as well after the game. His wife was there as well. Both very nice people.
