Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow’s Sunday Stroll
Celebrity mom pals Madonna, 49, and Gwyneth Paltrow, 35, took children Apple Blythe Alison, 4, and David Banda, 2 ½, out for a walk in Gwyneth’s green Phil & Ted’s Sport ($510 with doubles kit) on Sunday in the Hamptons. David looks content here, but soon started trying to escape from his underside ride!
Dads are Coldplay’s Chris Martin and director Guy Ritchie, respectively.

That’s a cute picture! I love how both kids are in the same stroller!
I usually don’t like to speculate, but it appears to me that Gwyneth has a tiny bump there! =]

Althea, i see what ure seeing but i highly doubt thats a bump, just because its a very tight shirt. It looks like she just is sticking her stomach out. Anything is possible, and you may be right bc every celebrity is pregnant or just had a baby! Anyways cute picture!

Gwen needs some walking shoes and Madge needs some serious shorts. What the hell is wrong with these chicks, maybe the person that dresses them wasn’t available this morning!

That seems like such an odd design for a stroller – why would you want the BIGGER child on top of the smaller one? And it doesn’t look like David can see anything AROUND the front!

I’m with David, who wants to look at the back of another seat, especially one that’s up above you like that?
Maybe that set up is meant for walking a toddler in front (up and looking around) and a newborn/smaller baby below (since they’d be asleep anyway and not care what they could see)???

i don’t get the trucker hat/lace short get up…i love her music, but am not fond of the look.
and those strollers have never appealed to me. the poor kid on the bottom has a horrible view. plus, you can’t run with these strollers.

Yah I agree this stroller looks odd to me. Kids like to see whats around them and I get why they put Apple up front, where would her legs go in the back? David even looks like his is a bit squished leg wise.

I have this stroller in this color and its wonderful for 2 toddlers. We walk everywhere in the City and prefer it over our others which include Quinny and Peg Perego. My kids are 1 and 2.5 and both are happy sitting below despite the obstructed view- although the heavier kid should go up top so stroller stays balanced. I think they feel cozy in the bottom seat. It is a very popular stroller in my area, hard to find such a versatile design.

I was just going to post a reply on the stroller- I second what Anna says. We have the Phil & Ted’s E3 for our two (who are 19 months apart) and there is plenty of room for a toddler to ride in the back. As Anna said, the smaller child is supposed to go in the back to keep the stroller balanced. My kids actually request to ride in the “way back”!! My daughter is 3, and I also find it easier to let her ride in the back since she can climb in and out so easily- when she wants to walk she can, and when she gets tired she climbs right in.
The benefit is that the footprint of the stroller is the same as a single, so navigating sidewalks and stores is much easier than with a standard side by side double. It also converts to a single when you don’t need it to be a double.
I think it’s genius!

I have had my Phil and Ted’s since 2003 and have put three kids (at various times and in various configurations) into it. They all adore the stroller and love being in the rear seat. There is plenty of leg room as the feet go into the basket and the view is only partially obstructed…the kids can see everything except what is directly in front of them and mine have never complained eventhough they are incredibly curious children. It is versatile, comfortable, easy to push, easy to pack in a car (we took ours camping), stylish and practical. As a devout stroller collector I have tried many, many strollers and it is one of only two strollers that my husband will not allow me to sell as he adores it and uses it almost exclusively. The other is the Adventure Buggy Company (ABC) double stroller with third seat mounted on the handlebars for when we walk all three kids at once.

IF YOU HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN PHIL & TEDS IS THE BEST STROLLER OUT THERE!! it’s lighter than the other doubles, it pivots on a dime, you can take the back seat right off and it converts back into a single stroller, you can navigate through tight-squeeze clothes racks in the departments stores and it comes in great colors.
i did a lot of research on double strollers when pregnant with my second little one, and believe me, it is by far the most versatile.
anybody out there shopping around for a double stroller?? trust me and buy the phil & teds!! you will really love it!

It’s fun to see two big stars together with their respective celeb babies! At the risk of sounding weird, is it just me, or in other pictures from this set does it appear that Apple is not wearing any clothes?

wow, Madonna is more white than Gwen! LOL. I remember how they’d always say Gwen had such pretty white porceline skin…seems she has a tan now lol.
I love David he’s so cute! The stroller is odd for older children but I think it’s more made for an older child at the top and a baby at the bottom…

I think it’s just nice that the Mom’s have each other. I assume it’s hard to have close friends when you are scrutinized so much. It’s probably nice to have someone to share that with (as a Mom). As for Madonna’s shorts, well…they’re an interesting choice for a stroll with the kids. They look dressy so I picture them more with dress shoes and a nice blouse/top.

I think those Phil and Ted strollers are awesome. Every time I see kids in one, the child in the “back” always looks content and happy.

Everyone that I know that has the P&T Sport raves about it (even though I was a bit skeptical of the set up at first as well). But I’d due with #2 in a couple of months, and this is the double stroller we are going with. I like that it converts to a single stroller when I only have one of the kids with me, that it is the same width as a single stroller (it’s hard enough getting through store aisles with my lightweight single MacLaren!), and everyone has mentioned how much their kids enjoy the back seat. So I can’t wait to get it!!!

I’m going to agree with Althea and say that Gwyneth looks pregnant. I’m not saying she IS, she’s just got what could be the beginnings of a bump.
Anyway, what is with Madonna’s shorts? She was seen wearing the same style in red. The pic’s in Star magazine.

I would have LOVED one of these when I was a nanny 9 years ago (when I was 18). I remember navigating the UWS with a double MacLaren and one in the baby Bjorn. I think double MacLarens are more streamlined today, but back then you had to get the wheels lined up perfectly just to get in and out of the elevator.
And I don’t get why people think the back seat is so awful. It doesn’t seem much different than riding in the back seat of a car or an airplane. You just turn your head to see the view.

I LOVE that stroller. it’s a nice space saver stroller. the side-by-side double strollers take up too much space.

I bought the Phil & Teds sport buggy last winter. My kids are 20 months apart. Hands down, the best double stroller on the market. I love my stroller. My son and niece are the same age and often argue over who will sit in the “bucket”. The bucket is what they call the back seat. lol
