Taye Diggs “Would Love to Start a Family”
After five years of marriage, actor Taye Diggs — who admits he keeps the passion going strong by trying "to be romantic constantly" — and his wife, Idina Menzel, 37, are ready for the next big step in their relationship: children. Fatherhood isn’t too far away as the 37-year-old actor "would love to start a family, absolutely." While the couple haven’t thought about how many kids they want to have, for now, Taye wants to take things slowly, saying they would "like to start out with one and have it be healthy."
Taye plays Dr. Sam Bennet on Private Practice alongside actress Kate Walsh, who revealed last October that she is unsure of whether or not she will have children with husband, movie executive Alex Young.

It’s really nice (and refreshing) to know that couples do still wait awhile to figure out the “children or no children” question! I think it says alot to be with someone for five years and THEN say I really want to have your baby!

I wish them nothing but the best. They have been married for 5 years, but they have been together for almost 13 years.
Taye and Idina both have been expressing wanting to have children for years but it always seemed like another project would pop up and delay their plans. Those two are famous for staying busy hundreds of miles away from each other, haha.
I recently saw Idina in concert in NYC and she flat out said to the entire audience that she “couldn’t wait to get knocked up” and how they have the bug something terrible.

I love this couple – beside being gorgeous, they are both so talented. I’d love to see them with a little one, can you imagine the voice it would have????? Good luck to them, I hope their dreams come true!

I love them! Idina is one of my favorite performers! She has an amazing voice! I hope they are successful very soon in there dreams for a baby.

Awww I love Idina
I know she can’t wait to get “knocked up” as she’s said on different occasions, and that baby would be giving some of the more gorgeous (no pun intended) celebrity babies a run for their money! Hopefully after her summer tour is over, they can spend some time together haha

I love this couple and am a huge fan of Idina’s. I know they’ve both been talking about having kids for years and would really love to see them finally start their family. Taye’s been looking forward to kids for awhile, and Idina’s said that she used to be more hesitant to become a parent because she wasn’t sure she’d make a good mother but was now more confident in her abilities. I really hope we get to hear and see more of them on here~!

I had no idea they were married to anyone, let alone each other.
I loved them in Rent and was thrilled so many of the people who did the show on broadway were in the film.
I love Idina’s new record and think they’ll make amazing parents. And what beautiful babies they will make!
I hope that their child gets his/her parents looks, voices, and zest for life.
