I love 24. I have seen Marisol, from a distance, in person and heard her speakabout her life and pholosophy on two occasions (in LA and in Mexico City). I think she is an amazing person. She is so darling, very intelligent and a strong ethical person. I hope she is successful with nursing because it gets better the longer you hang in there. It is the best from 5-6 months on.

Hey thats really great post about pregnancy. I find her even cuter when she’s pregnant and she’s got style. Nice dress shown in the picture. I like them.

I was told the epidural goes into your spine, and blocks the pain that way, so how is it going into your bloodstream? I had an epidural and it was the best thing ever and my daughter turned out perfect. But Marisol is right to explore all her options and figure out what is best for her.

Whatever goes through mama’s bloodstream, goes through baby…the epidural drugs too.
Some ways babies can be affected:

-Direct drug toxicity
-Fetal distress, abnormal FHR (can lead to emergency cesarean)
-Drownsiness at birth, poor sucking reflex
-Maternal fever (impeded thermoregulation from numb skin) leads to fetal hyperthermia and neonatal
-Poor muscle strength and tone in the first hours
-Neonatal jaundice

It is good to make informed choices!

She’s cute pregnant, and I love her pregnancy fashion sense! Very cute, very chic…

She sounds very excited about this baby! And the photos of her and hubby are sweet.

She’s starting out with the right books and the right attitude towards labor and breastfeeding. Good for her!
