Becoming a parent has the potential to change a person’s entire outlook on life, and that’s exactly what happened to rocker Shooter Jennings when daughter Alabama Gypsyrose arrived nine months ago. The 29-year-old admits that "I’ve got a shorter fuse now because I want my daughter to grow up in a better world" and that view makes a difference in the music that he makes, he explained.

"I want people to stand up for themselves and what they believe in, and that’s reflected in my music."

Alabama is the first child for Shooter and his girlfriend, actress Drea de Matteo, 36.

Most kids get awarded new toys or special treats for eating their dinner, but for Kate Moss’ daughter, a clean plate at mealtime means a closet full of expensive clothes! Sitting down with Interview, the 34-year-old model shares keeping "all those Pucci numbers and things that I wore when I was seventeen" in storage has really come in handy when it comes to negotiating with her daughter Lila Grace. Calling the clothes "blackmail," Kate jokes that Lila has become a "fashion freak" after realizing that if she doesn’t finish all of her food, she won’t grow — and if she doesn’t grow, she won’t fit into any of her mommy’s designer duds!

Apart from being a mini-fashionista in the coming years, 5 ½-year-old Lila — who Kate says "likes older boys" — also has been discussing another important topic with Kate…marriage! According to Kate, her daughter "says she’s going to get married three times," and already has revealed to her mom the identities of those lucky men. And although Kate says that she doesn’t host house parties anymore since her main focus is on her daughter, Lila does not shy away from adults, but rather strikes up a chat with them. Kate explains,

"She’s really frightening. Well not frightening, but much more outspoken than I was as a child. She hangs out with adults a lot. So she’s really confident around adults and can have a conversation with them."

Lila is Kate’s daughter with ex-boyfriend Jefferson Hack.

You may not recall Jodi Benson’s face, but you probably recognize her voice! The 46-year-old is Ariel in The Little Mermaid, as well as Sam in last year’s movie Enchanted. While she’s happy providing the voice of numerous characters, her main job is that of mother and teacher to son McKinley, 9 ½, and daughter Delaney, 7. Home schooling her kids is Jodi’s "full-time job during the week," but she does "do concerts on the weekend."

Jodi shares that "I generally fly out [to California] to do most of the film work, but the rest of the stuff … I could do Ariel in Atlanta," close to where she and her husband Ray Benson live with their kids. Luckily for Jodi, she can "teach the kids Monday through Friday and then do my gigs on the weekends," adding that "my studio work is generally one hour a week, in the afternoon after I finish school, so it works out well for our family."

Due in February with their second child, Donald Trump Jr. and wife Vanessa Haydon Trump, both 30, showed off the beginnings of a belly at the "Introduction to Trump Tower Dubai" party, held in Bel Air, Calif. on Saturday. The new addition will join big sister Kai Madison, 15 months, at home.

Writing the cookbook Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen with her sister and mother was a labor of love for Trisha Yearwood. Many of her fondest childhood memories take place in her mom’s kitchen, and now the 43-year-old country singer — married since 2005 to Garth Brooks — says she’s creating traditions of her own with step-daughters Taylor Mayne, 16, August Anna, 14, and Allie Colleen, 12.

"In Oklahoma, with the girls, we just want to find the excuse to get together and hang out, and that usually revolves around food. We didn’t have big Fourth of July parties here in Georgia, but we do that now. It just happened accidentally because one year my family was out visiting in Oklahoma, and it happened to be Fourth of July weekend, so we cooked some ribs and said, ‘We should do this every year.’ So it’s kind of a new tradition."

Taylor, August and Allie are Garth’s children with ex-wife Sandy Mahl.

Times have definitely changed for the members of Metallica. As they prepare for the release of their new album Death Magnetic, the members of the band — Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett and newcomer Rob Trujillo — say their music is no longer fueled by fast times, but is instead fueled by family. "It’s powerful music," Rob says, "and I have to say, my inspiration this time is my kids. I have a 2-year-old and a 5-week-old." Lars agrees, telling the LA Times that the bond of fatherhood — which each member shares — has unified the group. He adds,

"That gives us more common ground and patience. Changing diapers changes your outlook."

It seems that, for some of the Metallica children, the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree. Lars’ 10-year-old son Myles "loves" the game Guitar Hero, and although Lars is a drummer, father and son share similar musical tastes. "He’s digging on Sabbath and Deep Purple and all the music I loved as a kid," Lars said.

In addition to Myles, Lars is dad to a 7-year-old son, Layne, with his ex-wife Skylar Satenstein and 15-month-old Bryce Thadeus with girlfriend Connie Nielsen. James is dad to daughters Cali Tee, 10, and Marcella Francesca, 6, as well as a son, Castor Virgil, 8, with wife Francesca Tomasi. Kirk has two sons, 22-month-old Angel Ray Keala and 9-week-old Vincenzo Kainalu with wife Lani. Rob has a 2-year-old son, Tai Orion, and an infant daughter, Lula, with wife Chloé Barthélémy.

Death Magnetic is due in stores Sept. 12.

When asked by Page Six magazine whether she intends to slow down long enough to pursue a family with boyfriend Jared Kushner, Ivanka says yes — but not anytime soon.

"I’m not looking to get married now. I have a lot on my plate. I would love to have children but I am certainly in no rush."

Ivanka is the daughter of Ivana and Donald Trump.

When actor Kevin Nealon’s actress wife Susan Yeagley became pregnant, he was fully prepared to deal with everything from the pregnancy cravings to the weight gain right along with Susan — even if that meant buying some maternity jeans for himself! Kevin, who now more than a year later is "barely able to fit back into my pre-pregnancy jeans," jokingly shared that he went the whole nine yards buying "those jeans with the elastic stretch band along the waist" and ankles as he "was getting cankles." Not only was the Weeds star dealing with sympathy weight gain due to his "major craving" of food in general, he also experienced strange pregnancy cravings as well — including Old Spice After Shave lotion! While he admits that he didn’t go as far as to drink it, he did apply it "in heavy doses throughout the day and evening," saying the distinct smell led him back to his own childhood when he would smell it on his father.

Like many nervous new dads, Kevin faced his fear for the "health and well-being of my wife and child" throughout the pregnancy and dealt with it "as most people would: I stuffed my face with as much food as possible." As the ex-Saturday Night Live actor playfully wondered "whose baby is it really" (although is quick to reassure that his son is "nobody’s love child but mine"), he also tried to come to terms with his greatest fear: the placenta! Luckily for Kevin though, he managed to "make it through the sight of blood, your wife’s discomfort, and the immediacy of the situation" and found himself in a "surreal euphoric state" while catching "a glimpse into the world of the miracle of life." Says Kevin,

"It’s very simple, you are born, you reproduce, you die, and your offspring continues the cycle. There are, of course, lots of fun times in between."

Actress Marcia Cross, husband Tom Mahoney, and daughters Eden and Savannah, 18 months, enjoyed a sunny afternoon at the park in Santa Monica on Saturday. The new season of Marcia’s show Desperate Housewives, which jumps ahead five years, willpremiere September 28th at 9 p.m. on ABC.
