Camila Alves Takes Levi Out and About
Brazilian model Camila Alves brought 4-week-old son Levi with her while she ran errands Thursday in Los Angeles. The pair stopped at the Party Paper Life store, where Levi stayed snuggled in a Serena & Lily Market Sling in Flax/Sky Blue ($129), topped with a aden + anais black and white muslin wrap ($44 for 4).

Nice to see she’s keeping him close, I think it’s really important mommas keep their babies right next to their body when out and about in the first few months, the world is very new to them and they need that extra reassurance.
I took it a little further and have always had my daughter (now 10 months) in a sling or front or back carrier (I have a ridiculously extensive selection of baby carriers to choose from by now!) — she’s never so much as sat inside a stroller.
It does wonders for excersize, and if you have a well made and good fitted baby carrier there is no stress on your back or hips.

hot mama with a hot sling!

Huh. That sling looks like it’s filled with more than a 4-week old baby….I keep on looking at it and thinking that must be a really big 4-week old. Is it just me? the angle? what?

That is the biggest purse I have ever seen. She may as well just be pulling one of those rolly suitcases!

It looks more like she’s stuffed a four year old in there rather than a four month old…
LOVE her line of bags. Too bad they’re so expensive.

Hmmmm looks like she’s carrying around a sack of potatos, not a 4 wk old baby!! Wow! LOL

I had no idea she designed bags, who knew? She looks great.

Wow, that’s a month-old baby in there? Looks pretty big and I thought Levi was average-sized when he was born, not like 10lbs. or so, yeah?
What is the weather like there in LA? Camila is wearing clothes that seem more suitable for fall and cool weather. I mean it is like 87F here and heck if I’d be wearing that sort of stuff, dark jeans, long-sleeved wrap, especially with a warm baby against my front. I’d be sweating buckets if I wore all that, and boots too!

I want her boots!:)

Levi does look bigger than a month old baby, but it just seems to be a mix of the way he’s laying (could be asleep in there) and the blanket draped over him, adding bulk.
I look at it again and it looks like a stylish sling-like bag for potatoes. LMAO.
Still, Mama Camila looks nice.
And I don’t mind what she’s wearing. I still wear jeans and long-sleeved tops (paper-thin and a little thicker material) and it’s already gotten to be a 100-degrees over here. That’s just me, and I’ve been that way a long time.

IT’s great to see her out and about with Levi. A lot of celebrities choose to stay home or leave their babies at home instead of taking them out. I love her outfit any info on it?

I am not a mommy so maybe the mommies in here can answer this question. Are those slings really safe??? The babies seemed packed in there and they seem as though they may be uncomfortable and hot. Is is suppose to mimmick the womb?? Thanks for the input.

Renee, I am a mommy, but i think too that those slings are not safe…i don’t know, i dont like them, maybe i should try one to see, but here in Italy i haven’t seen many.
I have the idea that the baby has not enough air…? or that they are uncomfortable.
Just my opinion.
Camila looks amazing! (as always)

I’m a handbag junkie, I love bags especially expensive ones, but her line of bags are not cute at all and for that price, I rather spend it on name brands than her’s. I like some slings but the one she has, I don’t like. She lost all the baby weight fast though

Slings are very safe when used correctly. The baby’s head is usually right up next to the rail, and you position them so that they breathe clearly. It’s great to be close to mom, you can nurse while wearing one, and your baby won’t get a flat spot!

Did anyone see TMZ a few nights ago? They showed Camila with a “Manny” and were making fun of the fact that he was so good-looking, and that Matthew works out with a beautiful trainer, which raised eyebrows on the show. Maybe it was her relative? Anyway, I just love Camila’s pre- and post-baby style!
